From here ok out i will literally not be eating from this place i ordered ok doordash my total was $12 the next day my card got charged from hong kong for an extra $3 i called them they gave me an excuse saying they dont understand what im saying and theyll give me a free drink with next order . so i . Now a SECOND TIME i ordered the exact same meal that i been ordering for the past 4 years .. which is mumbo wings sauce on side hence they drench your food in that red sace which is why i ask for it on the side which i been doing and no veggies in my fried rice since i didnt ask for VEGETABLE fried rice i asked for plain fried rice only bean sprout no onion no veggies my order is $12 on doordash and then next day i get charged an extra $3 AGAIN so i called hong kong rhey are trying to tell me they charge me extra for BEAN SPROUTS IN MY RICE WHEN so im like wht.. then i say so an extra $3 just because i wanted no veggies and bean sprouts in my rice??? I said it makes no sense she says oh yea and we charged you for wanting the mumbo sauce on the side i said how can you giys do that when i order in person all the time same order and never been charged extra but because you have my card on file you gonna charged me extra … makes literally no sene she proceed to say yes in person the cook doesnt charge extra MAKES NO SENSE IF ITS THE SAME DAMN ORDER AND IM PAYING DELIVERY FEE PLUS TAX that was my total before delivery fee and tax and tip .. never again had to contact doordash to get a full refund which i only wanted the money they charged me extra but doordash insisted they give me full refund they couldve just gave me my $3 back .

I came here to get some take out. The staff is very rude and degrading. They don’t greet you or acknowledge you came in to pick up your food. After 5 minutes of waiting for someone to answer me, I was asked “what you order” I gave them my name and was told wait 15 minutes. So, they didn’t even start my order after waiting 45 minutes to leave my house to pick it up? The service is in disarray and the food was not worth the hassle of waiting for.

I made sure I waited to cool off and really consider how to word this particular review. I also made sure to read others reviews and the replies from the company, maybe I just had a bad experience but now I know it wasn’t just me. My family has ordered from here for MANY years. For a long time this shopping center was one of only 2 Asian food places local local. I understand that Middletown has really come a Long way but attempting to price gouge due to the influx is really disrespectful and disappointing. This is not a dine in establishment nor does it offer anything different to justify such a price increase and horrible service. My family typically ordered from here approximately 3 sometimes 4 times a month for 5 adults 2 kids. We have stopped all together since our final straw incident where we received 2 combos and 4 shrimp rolls for $43 and after arriving back home believing we ordered much more food and did order more. After calling and returning, I decided not to even get the rest of the food. Not only did they confirm my order word for word and not apologize or attempt to correct the situation after picking up driving home driving back, they simply told me the price difference i had to pay. I decided right than and there we were thru with this place and would spend our money elsewhere and have. Our family has been residents since 1998 and really love to support local businesses. I urge others to as well but I also urge customers to not support places. I say use discretion. This place is your normal Chinese spot like any town has but charging what I would pay at a place like Sushi Yama is which we LOOOOVEEE is insanity. 2 more things… #1 I absolutely do NOT care what the company replies to my review. My family of 7 will NEVER return and I will not read your reply as you couldn’t even be professional and issue an apology in person for the mishap and inconveniences and the rudeness. If I could post the recorded conversation I would attach it, to display their nonsensical replies when I called in. Which btw i did record and always do. Annnnd #2 may I also suggest you ask your customers to stop parking along the front of your store and blocking the entrance to the shopping center most times.

This was supposed to be Curry Shrimp with Pork Fried Rice and this is what they give you. The vegetables alone is a full meal and I paid $8.50. They also wanted me to drive 15 minutes just so I can get a refund. My wife’s food wasn’t better after she ordered Beef and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce and all she got was sauce and broccoli with 8 pieces of beef. They will rip you off and won’t blink twice.

Would not recommend the chicken wing and rice and gravy platter. $11.00 and there is no gravy on the rice. They want you to pay for 8oz of gravy to go over a half of platter or rice. Manager was not helpful, and the people who take the orders are always misinformed. I recommend China king over this place. Too expensive for subpar food. The shrimp and broccoli was in the smallest container I’ve ever seen. Shame shame shame

I’m want to express my disappointment with the unprofessional staff Hong Kong at 5350 Summit Bridge Rd, Middletown DE 19709 on 08/31/2025 at 1258 hours. While the food was good, the staff’s rudeness and dismissive behavior were unacceptable. I felt unwelcome and insulted. I hope you’ll address this issue with your staff to prevent similar experiences for future customers.
