I wasn’t thrilled with the Honey’z Café. When we walked in we were told to sit anywhere we liked. Once we chose a seat we were told not to sit there and was seated by the server. To get a feel for their prices, I checked out their menu on their website which said that their 2 egg and 2 meat meal was $8.50…it was actually $10! Then they charged me an extra .50 for a side of ranch and didn’t mention that it would be an additional charge. The worst offense was they charged us an EXRA DOLLAR for using our credit cards to pay for our meals. There’s no sign posted on the door and they certainly didn’t mention this to us when we were ordering or when we handed them our debit cards. The had a sign on the BATHROOM mirror about this charge. My breakfast ended up being nearly the same cost as other places with FAR better quality food. I found out why the place was practically empty! I would NOT recommend Honey’z Cafe. Go to Maggies.

I know why this place is empty….
1) Meat skillet was terrible, very few pieces of meat and barely any bacon.
2) Was not asked how I would like my eggs cooked and they were brought out cooked wrong, even after complaint 3).
3) I overheard the cook tell the server to ask about the egg order but she decided to cook them without anyone asking.
4) Bowl was full of uncooked potatoes straight out of the can, at least brown them.
5) Service was not great either, waited too long before anyone took our order and no one else was in there that needed serving.
Will not ever come back here.

Very small homey type place. Inexpensive and it shows. The family run concept was actually a bit creepy as they all just stood around watching us at the end. I took the first photo and Honey herself asked me to delete it and to not write a review which is the reason for the 3 stars. The food was just ok but that’s what one expects for the price.

The staff is very friendly. Check the special list too. Loved that they serve both breakfast and lunch at 1030.

Very nice local restaurant. They offer breakfast and lunch (burgers and sandwiches). Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Try dessert if you are there. The peach cobbler is good, but not too sweet.

I can’t believe a restaurant is open 8-2pm. I guess you have too many customers that you don’t need to stay open later no thanks I won’t be back

Worst skillet i had, pretty much a bowl of potatoes. How do you not put in any vegetable like a onion or green pepper?

Great local diner. The staff is friendly and there is enough variety on the menu to visit a few times a week.

11/2023 ETA: In the last year, they have significantly lowered the quality of their food & the portion size while still raising prices.
I do understand that prices have gone up on everything & restaurants are struggling, but to lower the quality AND portion size while STILL raising prices? It’s just too much for us & we won’t go back.
Neither one of us could finish our meals, the bacon tasted old & almost rancid & the pancakes were dry & crumbly, like they used biscuit mix instead of pancake batter.

Good service. Clean (including the bathroom). Excellent breakfast – mom ordered the sausage gravy, which I normally am not a fan of, but it smelled so good that I had to try it & I was pleasantly surprised by how very, very good it was. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.
