Honeysuckle is among the best restaurants we’ve eaten at in Philly! Highly unique food, cocktails, and atmosphere. Every dish from the tasting menu packed a punch of flavor and everything was cooked exceptionally. We really enjoyed the design & ambience of the space too. Exceptional service to boot. Anyone looking for a nuanced & comforting culinary experience will not be disappointed.

Only two very minor notes: the portions of the mains felt disproportionate to each other. I had the broccoli and beef, which was about half the size in portion to my wife’s aged duck dish. When doing a tasting menu, I think we were expecting to eat the same amount of food. Both dishes were absolutely delicious though. And secondly, my wife thought the scallop dish could have been served a hair colder. I didn’t think so, but take of it what you will.

A wonderful dining experience at Honeysuckle. Worth the visit.

One of the most unimpressive “fine dining” experiences I’ve had. The biggest issue was the portion sizes — each of the six prix fixe courses was barely two bites, with 15–20 minutes between dishes. For that pacing, the flavors should have been memorable, but everything felt generic and forgettable. We left feeling pretty hungry and disappointed. Presentation was also underwhelming; none of the dishes looked particularly appetizing or artistic.

The redeeming qualities were service, ambience, and the fact that it’s on inKind (we got $100 off). While the pacing was slow, the team accommodated our request to finish a bit early. They also remade a cocktail without hesitation when it was too strong and even brought out two complimentary glasses of champagne when they learned we were celebrating a promotion. The industrial ambience was unique and added some character. Also, the zou zou cocktail was delicious.

Overall, a below-average dining experience with a few bright spots, but not somewhere I’d return.

Visited Honeysuckle for the 1st time to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Will definitely be going back. Greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. Atmosphere is pleasant, warm. They checked our coats right away. We did the tasting menu. This should be about 1.5 – 2 hrs. However, we had tickets to the orchestra and needed to leave before that. We told our server and she brought things out sooner than normal. Not rushed at all, but would have been nice to take a little longer. Our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable on the food. Attentive, but not overbearing. The food was amazing! Tasting sizes, but we left feeling full. We had the Calas & Mussels for 1st course: amazing. Salad Russe & Dombrey for 2nd course: amazing. Roasted chicken & Beef and Broccoli for 3rd course: amazing. Black orange creamsicle & carrot cake for 4th course: amazing. Plus 2 amuse Bouchés. Everything cooked to perfection. Spices were right on, earthy and flavorful. We also had the Balad for Treme & Black Cake cocktails. Soooo good. Overall everything was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Wow what an awesome restaurant experience! The cocktails were top notch and really creative. I really enjoyed the broiled oysters, the legim, and the flan dessert. My husband tried the burger which he said was wonderful but hard finish since it was so rich! We did the à la carte at the bar which was really fun. The ambience is really cool and perfect for date night!

I was taken here on Valentine’s Day and had an…. Experience. My friends have been multiple times before that day and really enjoyed their experience. This time, the wait was very long regardless of us having a reservation. The courses took extremely long to come. They had a tasting menu, which was not very flexible with substitutions. There was very little to no explanation of each course, which is a very important part of the experience. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed by the experience, portion size, presentation and taste of the food. Most courses were tiny and unmemorable. On top of the price being 30-45$ more per person for smaller portions and less experience. I love black owned business and looked forward to this dining experience for weeks only to be underwhelmed. I hope they take the time to focus on improving the experience, presentation, portion and taste of the food for the price. Focusing on building consistent quality before expanding, making major changes and raising prices would go a loonggg way.

This is more than a restaurant. Its a cultural experience, and an opportunity to be educated by people who’s passion is apparent in every aspect of what they do and how they do it. Service was stellar. The menu was fun and inventive and a little bit rebellious which I loved. Each successive course was more interesting, and more delicious. The McDonalds Money Burger could easily have been over the top but it wasn’t. It was decadent and perfect. The chicken is a good as any I’ve ever had (nods to Vernick) but even more unique in terms of flavor. The only thing I would change is adding decaf to the menu. Not having it seems to be the new thing with fancier places but it’s kind of ageist. Older people for the most part can’t drink caffeine at night.

I finally got to check out Honey Suckle this weekend. The food was amazing! I honestly wish I got to order full on entree’s because it was that good. However, I understand it was a holiday weekend so the tasting menu was the only option . The drinks were also delicious . My only issue was it being chilly (close to the door) and slowness in between courses. Particularly, the main corse. It took so long I almost fell asleep at the table . Lol I’m giving grace because it was Valentine’s Day. I’d love to go back and try full entree’s in the future because the food was spectacular! If you’re looking for fresh, farm to table food. This is the place!

The food was an experience! Everything was so delicious and thought out. Mixed priced menu offered a variety of appetizers, salad, main course, dessert- as well as special treats. The Nutcracker cocktail for 2 is recommended.
Oysters are great. Lovely atmosphere and service!

Had a very pleasant evening at Honeysuckle! The atmosphere is moody and culturally inspiring! The staff were all super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Really loved the chef’s ideology and devotion on providing farm to table ingredients from their local farm in Bucks county and mixing in their cultural flair. The execution of the food excelled in representing the southern and Haitian flavor profiles but I had some questions on their technique in some dishes.

The chicken entree, at least mine, didn’t have that crispy skin that I was hoping for hence the skin was chewy. This would’ve added that extra layer of satisfaction and texture to the dish, but nonetheless the chickens accompaniments were delicious. The McDonald’s money add-on was fun but the Wagyu and truffle were overpowered in this dish. I would love to have a crispier patty as well and stronger beef flavor, maybe a Wagyu katsu sandwich instead of a smash burger? The shokupan was the star of this dish and absolutely delightful and so were the beef tallow French fries! Lastly, we were also not given the amuse at the beginning of our meal which the adjacent tables received. The other dishes shown through the photos were delicious, fresh, and represented the restaurant well!

Service was great. Knowledgeable, professional, and absolutely beaming with smiles and positive energy! They were accountable to their actions but we found the pacing of the meal was a little slow at times and our water glasses were left empty far too long for Michelin standards. Aside from these small details, we were more than pleased with the level of service provided.

I am critical of this restaurant because it feels like they’re aiming for a certain standard, the Michelin standard. As the Michelin guide rolls out this year in 2025 for Philadelphia, I am eager to see what the guide says about Honeysuckle! Wishing them all the success and will be back to experience the new seasonal menu!
