Tyler from Adventure Colorado Tours brought me and my friends here to experience the chicken. It did not disappoint! We ordered the family chicken meal to share but also tasted the avocado toast, omelet, and milkshakes. The staff were friendly and the food was prepared quickly. The view of Mt. Sopris from the outdoor dining area was a huge plus. I definitely suggest this location if you’re interested in a great meal!

My wife and I were staying across the street for a wedding few weeks ago – happened upon Honey Butter and decided to give it a shot our first morning… we went again the next day it was so good. The service was excellent and the food was other worldly good. It does take just a minute for the food to come out, but it seemed like everything was made to order so no shock there. The coffee is locally roasted specifically for Honey Butter and is great. Will absolutely make this stop whenever in the area. Thanks y’all!

I’ve never seen a restaurant value their food so highly- so highly they want to keep it and not serve it to their customers!! We’ve been here several times, love the chicken and waffles. Love the honey/hot sauce, it’s so unique. And the chicharonnes and bacon app was amazing, but we were told not enough people ordered it so it’s no longer on the menu. They should consider taking chicken thighs off their menu too, since they really, really don’t want you to order too many of them. My wife and I had some friends in town and we raved about this place, told them they had the best fried chicken we ever had. Our server seemed stunned when we requested the chicken and waffles dish with 2 extra thighs. “You want 4…thighs???” Yep. Our friends ordered the 4 piece and requested….all thighs. Sorry, but we all like chicken thighs!! Is that so weird for fried chicken lovers? Unfortunately our server didn’t get the memo, and brought our friends 4 scrawny, over breaded and overcooked drumsticks. Then copped an attitude when our friends expressed dismay that they didn’t get thighs. “It’s our restock day…dark meat is dark meat….they don’t grow chickens with only thighs, unfortunately” and other such nonsense. Lost us immediately as ever being returning customers. To his credit, he did comp our friends meal, which was appreciated. But not enough to save us as customers. Our friends were disappointed, didn’t like their meal, and as far as I’m concerned this place can keep their precious thighs as we won’t be ordering them or anything else there again.

Tender, juicy, and crispy chicken! It’s a tricky feat to pull off, but the crew at Honey Butter is doing it right. I have really come to really enjoy the Chicken Fried Chicken. Great portion & great flavor! Coming from someone who has grown up locally, it’s nice to see the diner come back to life!

Excellent food and excellent service. It’s got that classic diner atmosphere that works really well. Be sure to have some of their “hot honey” on your dish. However, I have to deduct a star because the “Chicken and Biscuits” doesn’t come with biscuits and, well, that’s just weird.

Deep fried chicken galore! If you’re looking for tasty fried food, this is the place. We had the burger and chicken/waffles… a first for me and it was really good. The taste profiles of spicy and sweet kept me wanting more. Great atmosphere for the family too since it’s an old, funky diner.
