So they were busy on Sunday at noon. But 10 minute wait was good. Ordered the Carnivore skillet with rye toast. Very filling and excellent quality. Average price on menu is about $16 or above. The Carnivore was great. The multiple meats were cooked and crispy perfectly. Hashbrowns were also crispy. If you like them extra done maybe ask.

My wife and I have eaten at the Honey Berry locations in Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows several times and have always had great experiences. Because of that, I was excited to learn there was a location closer to us in Lansing.

Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience.

We arrived around 2:00 PM and weren’t greeted until 2:16 PM. The hostess appeared to be having a rough day and didn’t seem very welcoming. We were eventually seated at 2:26 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 3:00 PM.

I understand that we came near closing time, but if the restaurant is still seating guests, the expectation is that the service and food quality should still reflect the brand’s standards.

Our server had been triple-sat at the same time we were seated, which clearly frustrated him. By the time he reached our table, the beverage bar had already been shut down, and we were given plastic utensils and plastic cups instead of normal tableware.

Our food didn’t arrive until after 3:00 PM, and unfortunately the quality was disappointing. The coffee was bitter, and the menu advertises fresh orange juice, but the one we received tasted old and like it came from concentrate. When I asked the server if it was actually fresh, he simply said “no” and removed it from the bill.

The food itself tasted like it had been reheated or microwaved, and it was nowhere near the quality we’ve experienced at the other Honey Berry locations.

My main concern is this: if the kitchen and beverage bar start shutting down around 2:00 PM and the staff are mentally checked out for the day, it would be better to stop seating guests earlier rather than allowing the service and food quality to fall below the standard that the brand normally delivers.

There are many breakfast options in the area, so unfortunately this location won’t be one we return to.

It’s disappointing because the Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows locations set a much higher standard. Hopefully management at this location can address the late-day service and food quality so future customers can receive the experience that Honey Berry is known

I called this restaurant at about 950am on March 1st which is a Sunday. When the Hispanic young lady answered the phone I said good morning how are you and she abruptly said umm hi how can I help you? I spoke and she hung right up. I can possibly contribute that to my air pods. So I called back and said the same thing as I say to all business when I call because they are working hard especially at diners and places servicing customer. The next words that came out her mouth was what? How can I help you. I proceeded to ask me question and expressed she should be kinder when answering for customer who want to buy from a small business and she hung up again in my face. I live in Lansing and pay Lansing taxes. I now know I will never ever go here to support this restaurant. If you can be so rude on the phone I can’t imagine what you would do to my food, or handle a possible escalation that may arise in your place of business. Please do better when hiring or having people answer your phone. That was an immediate turn off how I was handled and all I had a was a simple question; why can I place an order online ( it says you are closed).

Horrible, just walking in, I asked for a table by the window, which is a small booth. I need to elevate my leg with a visible brace that I explained. I was told the table was not clean and that the employee just arrived and they don’t know how long it would be. I was seated at the wooden table.
2 mins later a young man and the 1st employee I was speaking with walks over starts cleaning the table for a party of 3.
No one could explain how the table could not be cleaned for me (AA) but for the other group (Hispanic) right away.
Everything is not racial but this was clear and blatant.
I was speaking with the manager, short Hispanic lady, nasty attitude. The rest of the staff majority Hispanic also.

I enjoyed my meal. I ordered the banana nut pancakes and the two eggs any style with diced potatoes and onions as well as bacon. The food was really good. The diced potatoes were a bit salty but edible for sure. My husband ordered a omelette and french toast, he said it was delicious. The portion size was great as well. I would definitely return to try other menu items.

My daughter took me here for Mother’s Day. It was our first time here. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. The Banana Nut Pancakes were the best I’ve had so far. Despite it being Mother’s Day, we were seated within 5 minutes and our food didn’t take long at all. Arriving at 830a was the best decision because by the time we left (945) there was quite a few people waiting inside and outside for a table. We will definitely be back. It’s great to finally have a breakfast spot near by that actually has GOOD food!!

I usually go on Saturday mornings just to unwind from a brutal week of work. The service is great. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. Orange juice is still too expensive, but coffee is the right price. Staff is good, and Alexis is really good in her role as a waitress because she always smiles, makes eye contact, and makes sure everything is good with the service.

I took my mother there for her birthday. Friendly as soon as you come thru the door. Great customer service and food came hot and fast. I enjoyed listening to the variety of songs. The waiter was so nice to take a picture of our family celebrating my mom. This is my new breakfast spot.

the food was amaaaazinggg but the service was horrible. I had to asked my server multiple times for napkins, silverware, etc.each time she took over 15 mins.We waiting 30+ minutes for food, and once we were ready to go we had to wait 30+ minutes for the bill and for them to clean our table. Speaking of waiting for silverware it’s crazy that I even have to ask for silverware,as well as the drinks I ordered that they were never gonna give in the first place So when they did give us silverware after waiting 15+ mins to eat my food, they came back with plastic and said “All of the silverware is dirty” lol what?!?!!? So yeah the food was good but yall need better servers and faster dishwashers. Also AS SOON as they opened the kitchen door gnats filled the dining area

Went there for breakfast. Took a friend for the first time. We were table 96. Ordered the food. Biscuits and gravy were part of the order. Jerri was our server. He was very kind. Very professional. The flavor of the gravy was off. It had too much garlic. Way too much for breakfast. We told Jerri and he went to tell the manager. He came back and said that there is nothing that can be done about it! Oddly we did not want any food replaced or the money back. We just wanted to let her know that the taste was off. So we asked to talk to her. Mind you there was only one other table at the place. One table with two people in the whole place. So the manager Julia comes to the table and asks what do you want me to do!! Not hello my name is …. How are you guys today …… I hear you are having an issue. She literally scolded us like we were two children. I want you to know we are professionals in the working world and my friend in question had managed food chains. Anyway she became argumentative. I was a little shocked. There was no smile. No decorum, nothing like a manager should be. In the end she did replace the food, but this was out of her badgering us for the solution. We would have gladly took an “I’m
Sorry for the issue”. Jerri said it nicely on the end. He said “I just want you guys to leave here satisfied” and that was it. We just wanted to let her know the issue. She said it was the recipe. I hope that someone lets her know that being abrasive in a place that has a nice environment sours the experience.
