I haven’t written a review in a while so here is a new one. The honey Bee was recommended by my buddy Mark who has a gym nearby and we went for breakfast. I ordered French toast with vanilla pudding strawberries and whipped cream. Never had them quite like that. We also shared a cheese steak omelette that came with fried potatoes and onions and toast. No pick of the omelette because it came much later than our French toast. It’s a tight space in there but the other customers were friendly and down to earth. We shared our creamers with the table across from us and they let me use their salt and pepper shakers. There was a single hair on the omelette but I’m not bougie and just picked it off. The parking lot was full and the place was packed when I was there.

BLUF: I do NOT recommend.
I have been to many diners over my long military career across the US & abroad, this one is at the bottom of my list.
A large negative for ME was the sign on the door stating all the food prices had increased due to inflation and the menu did NOT reflect the updated prices. So all the food prices were a surprise on the bill. LoL
The food was okay; 1 person got the Russian Panini – 4.5 stars. The coleslaw tasted similar to bargain grocery store coleslaw from a can.
1 person got the Honey Bee Benedict Crepe – 5 stars
I got the Greek Omelette with home fries – 1 star. The food came out with a long brown hair on the omelette. Additionally the omelette needs some kind of sauce, it’s very bland and dry. The home fries were absolutely terrible. They had zero seasoning, I added salt & hot sauce, it didn’t help at all. The best part about my meal was the toast. I do NOT recommend the Greek Omelette.
The service was fairly good. It was a busy Saturday and the wait staff did the best they could with a large amount of patrons.
The atmosphere is cute.
Despite 2 of 3 people enjoying their food the bill of $60 doesn’t entice me to ever meet anyone here for another meal OR recommend this place to others.
Bottomline: I do NOT recommend.

This Honey is something special! I’ve never been in a place quite like it! OFF THE CHAIN! I flew up from Florida for my grandson’s funeral, it goes to say, I was very sad. When we got out of BWI and into our rental, I was hungry… and I’m from Maryland, so I already know MD has the BEST crab cakes… so I Googled “places open nearby that serve crab cakes”. Well the Honey Bee Diner popped up and it was open 24hrs. I called and asked do they have one of my faborites, Crab Cake Benedict, and the lady said YES. It is only 8 miles from BWI so off we went. Man, when we pulled up, I thought the place was an art gallery because they had these people-shapped car part art work figures out front. So we went inside, intrigued! WOW, the place was HUGE and full of customers (that’s always a good sign). The atmosphere was like something out of the 50’s, but the aroma was to die for. They sat us at our booth and, from the time we sat down till the time (hours later) we left, they didn’t stop checking on is. They brought our drinks – the coffee was AMAZING! Next they took out orders. In no time, low and behold, they put before us food fit for a king! Homestyle, made from scratch, and DELICIOUS! And so much on the plate! The food was steaming hot, and my crab cakes were UNBELIEVABLE! JUST LIKE GRANDMA USED TO MAKE… pure lump crab meat on 2 english muffins, with 2 fried-easy over eggs, cheese, and smothered in hollandaise sauce! The BEST I ever had, with a huge helping of home style potatoes! I also ordered 1 pancake, and it was as big as the plate, for only $3 more!! My daughter ordered the “kids” burger, but it was bigger than a large sized one, and a plate full of fries! And, to top it off, our server did’nt stop filling my cup and asking if we neede anything else! I had to pinch myself to make sure this wasn’t a dream, and the prices were very reasonable. The Honey Bee Diner is my NUMBER ONE stop, from now on, when I visit the DMV!

My first time at a diner and Honey Bee Dinner was the chosen one. I got the spaghetti cuz it was late and I probably wasn’t in the right mindset, but it was good. I also got dessert—which was very tasty! The server was very friendly.
Service was fast, nice place, would come again.

Drove by this spot in Glen Burnie a ton when I used to have an office at Empire Towers, it stood out and I always intended to stop by and give it a try. Recently came across a restaurant review from a local that came across as very unfair. Decided to check it out myself and I was very happy with the experience. Food was great, service was friendly and attentive, and they were constant cleaning. Not originally from here, only moved to SP in 2019 so I don’t have any reference to how it was “back in the day”, but I would 100% go back. A nice little gem in the area.

Homemade chicken soup was delicious as well as the burger and fries! Server was friendly, courteous and attentive. Overall appearance/cleanliness of the diner could use some attention. Would definitely go back on my next trip to Baltimore!

First time going this morning with a friend. Loved the atmosphere and the service. My coffee cup never went empty. I appreciated the flexibility with my scrapple sandwich order. The sausage gravy was also pretty solid. I recommend getting a cup to pair with your home fries.

Homey comfort food that’s a great value!. Friendly staff knowledgeable with the menu, and willing to provide customized dishes for patrons.
Overall terrific American Dinerthat serves comfort food and gourmet dishes alike and provides a wholesome environment in shock to enjoy is well-prepared food.
If there is one element that really needs to change, it would be that the cooking staff needs to learn to communicate in English, target than continually chattering in Spanish. Had I not been bilingual it would have been quite easy to assume that the the cook staff was making fun of the customers, since they would frequently look at one or more of the customers just before breaking into a long statement in Spanish just prior to breaking out into a long spate of laughter o on Spanish.

The hostess, Kathy mwas so sweet as soon as I walked in the door. Honey Bee Restaurant is a family favorite eatery. Wherever my family travels, abroad or the US, we always come back to Glen Burnie for our favorites. Shrimp Bowls & the best Liver & Onions meals my Granny loves, we pick it up for her. At 98 years, what granny wants granny gets, from The HoneyBee.
