Decent spot to get some Indian street food/snacks. Everything came out well and tasted great. There’s lots of seating but the decor felt a little out dated which might throw some people off.

I just ordered three iteams via Uber Eats – Chinese Bhel, Paneer Chilli Gravy and Schezwan rice.

I’ve been to honest in Morrisville, NC before and loved it. This time it was the complete opposite.

The Chinese bhel was just plain noodles and manchurian and I could taste the stale oil

The fried rice tasted weird. I felt pukish after one bite and had to throw the food away. Do not order from here!

I usually go to the Honest restaurant in Orland Park and the food there is always great. Because of that, my friends and I tried the Honest location in Niles, expecting the same quality, but it was very disappointing. The food was extremely salty and tasted strange even after they remade it. The girl who helped us was kind and tried her best, but overall the experience was not good. I would recommend going to the Orland Park location instead.

We are regular customers which is why writing this review is so disappointing to me. We expected the same good quality food and dining experience, and sadly we received neither.
When we walked in, we were met with a very dirty atmosphere. The windows looked like they weren’t wiped in days and nearly all of the tables were sticky with food on top and on the floor, even when there was nobody dining there. It seemed that there were more than enough staff members to take care of this mess, but they just stood there doing nearly nothing.
Our disappointment was further amplified when we received the food. The pav bhaji, which is their SPECIALTY, turned out to be an utter mess. It was extremely dry, and sadly inedible. I had to throw out the entire dish. When I expressed my concern to the waitress there, all she could do was say sorry and move on. That is not how you resolve issues with customers, coming from someone who runs a restaurant of her own. We also ordered several other items, such as the Vada Pav and Bhakri Pizza, and only the Bhakri pizza was good. For a business that brags about their Pav Bhaji being a specialty, the only thing they should be bragging about is how horrible of a customer experience they give! Definitely number one in that.
Deeply disappoints me to write this review and I had very high hopes for this restaurant, but I would advise people to think twice before visiting.

Very bad honest restaurant experience. Have been to another locations, which are amazing, but the food here is not edible at all. They did not get a basic “papdi chat” dish right as it tasted like nothing except garlic sauce. We were told the rava masala dosa will take 25-30 mins and after that you expect it to come out hot but tasted like 2 days old and nothing like a dosa. Same thing with uttapam, which very just buttered and crispy and also had peas, never expected that in an uttapam. The only decent dish was noodles. Another bad dish was manchurian, which was burnt and rock hard. All the food served was not even warm, and just oily & microwaved. Nothing tasted freshly made.

We ordered Masala Dosa and Pav Bhaji. They only gave 2 piece Pav which isn’t enough for most people, we ordered extra Pav. Food tastes delicious but more on the pricey side for South Indian food. I guess that’s how most restaurants are these days.

Honest no longer lives up to its name.
The restaurant operates like a standard Indian eatery, offering dishes such as pav bhaji that are marketed as innovative but lack authentic flavor. The service experience was also disappointing. Guests are instructed to sit, yet menus are withheld until a specific table is chosen, which feels unnecessarily rigid. Additionally, gratuity is expected despite limited service—no water provided and no clearing of plates at the end of the meal.

Given the overall experience, I am uncertain whether I will return.

Memories of Indian street food brought us here, Honest you made our day. I am sure those who love Indian fast food will surely visit Honest at Niles or in Schaumburg to try this amazing fast foods. The services are fast just like we use to get when we were in India. The best part I loved is the Honest restaurant is very hygiene and clean. Enjoy the best of the Indian fast food at Honest.

HONEST is known for its Indian street food.
We had been to Honest before and had a decent experience with their chaat and food options. This time it was just OK. For the price that we pay, one expects much more. We ordered dosa, chole bhatura and gobi Manchurian.
Pros:
Customizable spice option
Bhatura was made WELL
Place was clean
Lots of chaat option
Cons:
Chole was not authentic
Dosa was average and dry
To go boxes were not suitable for Indian food.
Gobhi Manchurian tasted just like tomato ketchup.
A small bottle of water was $2.75

Worst experience ever they give literally the frozen naan. The paneer was literally very hard. It should used to be a very soft. This restaurant should know this, the paneer tikka curry was only a tomato purry with sour taste. I think we don’t visit for this taste for sure. I spent only almost 100 dollars. Not worth at all.
