Honest in Decatur, GA is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Indian street food and comfort dishes. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a lively, welcoming atmosphere that really captures the essence of Indian street food culture. The menu is extensive, and if you love variety, this is absolutely the place to be.

I ordered a wide spread of dishes, and every single one impressed. The thali was a standout — a perfect way to sample multiple flavors in one meal. Everything on the plate was fresh, well-seasoned, and tasted homemade, from the curries to the sides. It was filling, balanced, and incredibly satisfying.

The pani puri and dahi puri were bursting with flavor. The pani was perfectly tangy and refreshing, and the puris were crisp and fresh. Each bite had that perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory that makes chaat so addictive. The samosa chaat was another favorite — the samosas were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with generous amounts of chutneys, yogurt, and spices that tied everything together beautifully.

For street food lovers, the vada pav and pav bhaji are absolute must-haves. The pav bhaji was rich, buttery, and packed with bold flavors, paired perfectly with soft, toasted pav. The vada pav had just the right amount of spice, with a crispy potato fritter and flavorful chutneys that delivered that classic Mumbai-style taste.

I also tried the sandwich and dosa, and both were excellent. The dosa was crisp, golden, and cooked perfectly, with a flavorful filling and delicious chutneys on the side. The sandwich was surprisingly hearty, well-seasoned, and a great mix of textures and flavors.

Portion sizes were generous, prices were very reasonable, and service was quick despite how popular the place is. You can tell Honest takes pride in staying true to authentic flavors while still being approachable for everyone. Whether you’re craving chaat, South Indian dishes, or classic Indian comfort food, Honest in Decatur delivers on every level. I’ll definitely be coming back — this place is a gem for Indian food lovers! ️

I ordered Masala Dosa & Pav Bhaji. Loved them both! Had leftovers the next day & still enjoyed it all. High quality, reasonable prices, & generous proportions. Dosa & Pav were soooo well cooked yummm. Dosa chutneys were bit runny & missed the benchmark, sambar could be thicker, chai tea was bitter for my taste but regardless it’s definitely atleast 9/10 & don’t need to think twice before going to this restaurant

I visited Honest Restaurant and had a really good experience. The food tasted fresh and authentic, with well-balanced spices and great flavor. Everything we tried was satisfying and felt close to real Indian street food. Overall, the taste was good, the quality was consistent, and it’s a nice place to visit if you’re craving comforting Indian food. Would definitely go back again.

“Honest”ly, the food here is great. I tried their Pav Bhaji – it was just perfect. You can also ask them to adjust the spice level to your liking. If you love dosas loaded with veggies and good amount of cheese, definitely try their Baahubali Dosa. Apart from this, the customer service is just excellent.

One of the best vegetarian Indian restaurants in Atlanta. Located in busy Indian plaza with plentiful of parking. It’s a counter service place. So we studied the menu prior getting in there. However, we believe there are a lot more items that’s showing on the screen that are not on the menu. We had cheese dosa, paani puri, sev puri, pulav, honest punjabi thali and mango lassi(highlight). The spice level is perfect for us, might be too much for many. The restaurant is busy but the line is moving quickly.

If you want to try authentic spicy Indian street food in Decatur, this is where you need to visit. Staff is welcoming, food is delicious and consistent. My all time favorite is Bhelpuri and Masala Pav with hot tea. I have tried Dabang Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Spring Dosa and Katori Chat which are also pretty good. I won’t recommend Sev Puri as it only has potato and thick sev filling and nylon sev on top. Filling has no signs of tomato and chaat chutney which makes it bland or if present is very negligible.

If you are craving for authentic Indian street food then honest is the place for you. We are coming to this place from last 3 years and we always had amazing food here.

Pav bhaji is always our choice. I would suggest go for little spicier version if you can manage the spice.

They have lots of Dosa Options, Mysore masala dosa, dabang dosa is our favorite.

Sandwiches are amazing and kid friendly. You can request the staff for spices change if your kid has specific choices.

The staff is amazing and always friendly. Service is amazing too.

Excellent and authentic Indian food. Had the idli sambhar, pav bhaji special and were were blown away by the authentic flavors. Don’t expect much from the ambience but focus on the food. It’s very very good and super cheap as well.

This place is awesome! Excellent, diverse selection of South Asian food. It was a great place to introduce my small-town friend to Indian cuisine. I do wish the music was a bit quieter though.

My friend and I both eat a lot, so we ordered 4 meals at about 15$ per meal.

This is a good casual place to bring a large group of friends- you have a huge variety, and it’s perfect to taste and share!
Prices are comparable to a regular restaurant, even though you order at the counter here.
The food gets served quite quickly, and you know it’s prepared fresh.
Since it generally draws large groups, it does get noisy.
