I was a regular at Honest Burger in Manchester up until around the summer of 2025, the burgers here can be great, but more recently I’ve found the standards to be so inconsistent from visit to visit, with a couple of price rises, it kind of feels you never know which version of Honest you’re going to get, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had so many great burgers here, and the staff are great, but I’ve also had some pretty bad ones too.

My regular favourites are the Classic Smashed Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Burger. All burgers can be made gluten-free with a 30 p supplement for the bun. The gluten-free bun isn’t too bad, but it can get hard and doughy sometimes, and it has tasted almost frozen before.

They also deliver on Uber EATS. I have had some issues with the delivery service; despite ordering just a couple of minutes away, I always find that the beef-based burgers aren’t hot. I ordered a California Burger yesterday, and it was lukewarm, and even the fries were overcooked.

The gluten-free options are really good, as pretty much the entire menu can be made gluten-free, even fried chicken and onion rings – so there’s certainly a lot of choice, and with the white Honest branded paper to serve on the bowls, I always feel safe eating here with my allergy.

The staff are really friendly, and always try their best to deliver the best possible service. There is a service charge, and while I don’t like service charges in general, they do certainly deserve it here.

I do want to focus on some of the positives, as when this place is good, it is VERY GOOD, and they can have the best burgers in town, the smashed patties are juicy, the sauces are good, the fried chicken and fillings is tasty but I’ve just had so many experiences now where the food has looked like it’s been thrown together, they’ve missed customisations (such as adding extra pickles despite removing them completley), the food has been undercooked, the bun has been poorly defrosted that it isn’t the reliable option it once was.

We went to Honest Burgers and honestly, it’s one of the more satisfying burger meals I’ve had in the city. The smashed burgers here are genuinely delicious. We tried both the standard and the seasonal truffle raclette versions, and both were excellent in their own way. The standard is already well balanced and flavourful, but the truffle raclette one really stood out. Rich, savoury, slightly indulgent, and everything just came together beautifully. The taste profile on that was awesome without feeling over the top.

The fries were also very good. Crispy, properly salted, and exactly what you want alongside a burger. The onion rings, though, were the real surprise. Absolute bomb. Crunchy coating, sweet onion inside, and dangerously easy to keep eating. Easily one of the best sides on the table.

The space has a great atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Lively without being chaotic, and it feels like somewhere you can comfortably hang out rather than rush through a meal.

Service was friendly and genuinely welcoming. Orders were taken quickly, food came out fast, and the whole experience felt smooth and easy. That kind of efficient but warm service always makes a difference.

Overall, Honest Burgers delivers exactly what you hope for. Great smashed burgers, strong sides, good energy, and speedy service. One of those places you leave already thinking you’ll come back.

A Burger and a beer is a thing of beauty and Honest Burger make some of the best going always a pleasure to visit here in Manchester. I had the current special Ultimate Bacon burger (double smashed) which was heaven in a bun. I always have to have the Chicken tenders as well as it’s some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The service was excellent as well Poppy was very helpful explaining everything and making things easy. All in all I would recommend this place as it’s always an amazing expirience for anyone visiting the city. Apologies for eating the food before the pic was taken it was too good to wait

Honest make some of the best burgers around and are set to become a bigger chain, I’m still waiting for them to open one up in Sheffield! Their mint lemonade is honestly such a highlight, the burgers are perfect and juicy, the only let down are the chips which I’ve found at other Honest locations too, but it’s not a big deal because ultimately it’s about the burger. Chicken wings are also worth ordering to share

Everything was stale. I had dined in this place before, and this time I placed an order on Uber Eats, but they disappoint me more every time I give them another chance! I ordered two burgers and specifically asked for them to be well-done, but this is what I got. On top of that, the fries were stale too!

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a proper burger place in Manchester.

Went here for work to assess the place and service as a mini presentation.
Atmosphere was lovely and music was nice and chill but quite loud in the toilets.
Server was very haply yo explain to us the menu and gave us information about drinks not on the menu.
Food was great! And we were served promptly. Very nice rustic minimalist aesthetic. I believe theres a roof terrace. They work with a lot of local suppliers which is really nice addition, they also mention all of these on their menu.

The fries were too salty and not really crispy, the gluten free burger was not great either. The atmosphere on a Saturday night was quite hectic and rushed. Paid almost £16 for a relatively small burger and fries including the 10% service charge. Not terrible, but not my favourite. Value for money is not great in my view.

Wouldn’t typically write a review but I genuinely cannot believe the food we received via uber eats

The food was stone cold to start with, the chips were stale there was no chance they were fresh.

The burger they explained are served medium pink except this was a smash burger that was stone cold in the middle and felt slimy to touch.

Upon emailing the restaurant they blamed the uber driver for taking multiple deliveries (I live 10 minutes from the restaurant and the uber driver came directly from the restaurant to me) passing the blame on to the driver is quite shameful considering they also forgot part of our order as part of this which they didn’t acknowledge via email.
