Delicious made to order food! The pupusa was tender and the beans were outstanding. The black bean soup and plantains were great!

Had lunch today at one of Yakima’s newest restaurants: Los Catrachos, serving Honduran food. Service was great. Very helpful with navigating the many choices for first-time customers. LOTS of plantains. The stuffed plantains on the appetizer menu were fun — two full plantains so you will want to share this one. My wife had their chicken pastelitos (similar to an empanada). You can’t really see them under the heavy cabbage and veg garnish, but they were great. I had the whole fried fish and a Honduran banana soda. We need to come back to try the other delicious sounding menu items. Please come check out this new local family business (downtown next to Jimmy John’s).

The food and service were great. I had the #1 and then me and my friend shared the pastelitos catrachos. This was my first time trying Honduran cuisine, and I am very happy we went. It’s clean and comfortable inside. The chef took the time to plate our food beautifully. You should try to dine-in to taste the food while it’s really hot and fresh, but I’m sure take-out would be great too. Don’t sleep on this new spot right next to Jimmy John’s! We’ll definitely be back.

Food is very good. Definitely loved the chicken empanadas and fried chicken on bananas dishes. We were offered Nance Agua Fresca. We didn’t know what it was, and our server explained what a nance fruit tastes like and showed us pictures on his phone. It was definitely good. I’m excited to try more.

I stopped by this place for lunch during my 2 days here in Yakima. I had never tried Honduran food and thought I would give it a try. All I have to say is… AMAZING! So flavorful and lots of food for a good price. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I got the carne asada and tajadas de platano. If I’m ever back in Yakima, I’ll come here again!

We went out to eat Honduran food. Delicious. Very different from Mexican food. Highly recommend. We ordered:
1. Fried chicken with slices of green banana – looked like potato chips. Topped with sweet cabbage and pickled onions.
2. Honduras chicken pastelitos – chicken filled empanadas – my favorite!!!!
3. Snack – flour tortilla with beans, egg, cheese, avocado, crema. The homemade flour tortilla was AMAZING .

Being from Honduras, I had high expectations. Owner is friendly and establishment was clean and modestly decorated. I had the fried fish and plantains and it tasted like being back in Honduras. I’m happy to say I’m a a regular customer.

I was SUPER excited to see a central American restaurant in the yakima valley. Definitely a breath of fresh air. Was greeted very kindly upon arriving. There was a variety of foods that were familiar and new. Overall the flavor was great and the serving sizes were just right! Will definitely come back again.
