Hometown Swirls is a dairy bar located in the heart of Mt. Orab, OH. We offer outdoor seating, have an outdoor playground including a pirate ship for the kids, and you just have to stop by and say hello to our mascot Miss Geraldine ! We offer a wide variety of your traditional and specialty soft serve ice cream treats, from cones, to classic milkshakes and sundaes, floats, our signature swirls and much more! Feeling hungry, we have you covered! Fan favorites include our Pizza Burger, Western Browner, and new Steak Hoagies! We have been visiting Hometown Swirls since their opening day 🙂 Their first year was full of fun events for the community. Sweet treats that brought us back each visit, and great customer service that keeps us raving and suggesting this wonderful local spot! I have personally tried several holiday flavors and each one is great in it’s own way. We have even made holiday pie and ice cream cookie orders that we have loved our favorite was the Thanksgiving banana cream ice cream pie! We just enjoyed ice cream for breakfast yesterday and got lost of their new food options. The burgers are a really good size. I loved the western browner on Texas toast! So great to have a local spot to enjoy throughout the year. Can’t wait see what their second year brings!

Was going to rate 5 stars, but now this business has decided to post an AI generated image on their Facebook.
The food is great, and the ice cream is always wonderful, but I still cannot support a small business that decides that AI images are more important than taking the time to make their own pictures for their posts, like they’ve done all the time until now. Cutting corners for even just a public post is not a good look.
HTS, please take down the image, and I’ll be more than happy to edit this review. I love the business, but when AI is quite a big reason that electronics are going to be spiking even further in prices, I cannot support this business anymore.

Hometown Swirls has the usual treats that make an ice cream stand great, but they also have Dole pineapple and the night we were there raspberry that could be swirled with the pineapple. They always have the pineapple, but change up the flavors it can be swirled with. I got my usual twist cone dipped in chocolate. The small was a generous amount of ice cream. My grandson got a chocolate covered cherry blitz. They have a nice play area around back that the grands enjoyed blowing off some energy there. Very clean.

Lots of options at decent prices. Tried the Alani floats: cotton candy was good but the witch’s brew was amazing! Will definitely be back for those while they last. Shake was delicious as well

We loved this place. Lots of choices, including dairy free. Different sizes, snacks, etc. The playground is new and well maintained. There were a lot of seating options. There was a drive thru. My only concern is I did not see a bathroom.

Finally stopped in here and was not disappointed. I went on the safe side and had an Oreo swirl & added cookie dough. Yumm!! Their ice cream is so creamy. Be sure to check out the playground and get your pic with Geraldine

My family and I moved to Mount Orab last spring, but we’ve only just now made our way to Hometown Swirls. I wish we had made it there sooner! The blueberry soft serve reminded us of the blueberry ice cream from a dairy bar in a town we used to live in many years ago. It was so nostalgic! Our first visit was experience was one we’ll never forget. It was busy that summer evening, a baseball game had just finished, and the drive thru was long. It moved so fast though! We were in and out in about 20 minutes. We’re a family of 5 and we all got ice cream that day. So the employees were working FAST. We’ve been back several times since then and we’ve had nothing but good experiences. Friendly staff, fun environment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something new to try or if you’re craving a sweet treat! The blueberry soft serve is hands down the best I’ve ever had! 10/10!!!!

We love our little ice cream shop. We have missed having a family owned ice cream joint to visit on the hot summer nights. Super friendly staff and they offer a variety of food items and unique themed deserts. They support our community and we’re happy to have them here.

Took my kids here before school started and they loved it. The prices were fair and servings were proportional if not larger than what you would expect to recieve. Great service and great food make this a great place to get a tasty treat!
