Be careful when you order from Hometown Pizzeria. They have recently made new venues and changes to their prices, and it has not been advertised what those changes are.
So everyone knows that most businesses have an extra fee when you run your card instead of using cash, we’ll hometown is no different, they’ve always done this and still do. But now withing the last two weeks they have started charging you extra on EVERY ITEM you purchase if you use your card to pay, EVERY ITEM.
We ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, a 16pc buffalo wing with extra sauce, and a 2 liter of orange soda last night. This order should’ve came to around $27 but because we paid with our card it came to $40!! We had no idea about the price changes when using card vs cash. And of course they wouldn’t tell you because they want your extra money. But 13 extra dollars just for using our card to pay with? That’s ridiculous!
What if there is a struggling mother who just worked all day, didn’t have time to cook after work, and just wanted to get her kids some pizza. Imagine she doesn’t have cash on her and has calculated the cost of the dinner she’s about to get and only has enough for it and a pack of diapers or some medice for her kid. Or maybe she only has enough for dinner and the rest is for her rent. She pays for her food and out comes more money than she realized because nobody warned her about the extra charges on every item she ordered. Then she doesn’t have enough to buy the diapers or pay her rent.
This extra charge on every item is greedy and quite frankly disgusting. People are already hurting in this economy why make it harder on them?
We were a regular here at Hometown for a long time. We grew up eating here. Its our favorite pizza. But when people add greed into the mix, we’d rather do without.
Your character when running a business is just as important as the product.
So be warned about using your card down there. It is an extra charge on every item, that includes your extra toppings and sauces on top of the extra charge for the item itself.

Used to be good. Has gone down hill SIGNIFICANTLY in the last several months. They hired way too many teenage girls who don’t know how to provide good service and they are terrible cooks. I can’t even tell you the last time they changed their fryer oil. We have stopped eating there all together. Who ever they fired- they need to bring them back cuz this food and service is terrible anymore

Since the buy out the product of the food has been lacking and service in general has taken a turn for the worse. They have taken items off the menu and just forget about orders to when you show up to pick it up the staff stare at you like you have 3 heads. I badly wish there was competition for this establishment.

We ordered a pizza and a hoagie. The hoagie was the best one to date. It was not overly toasted and the contents was evenly distributed inside the bun and tasted great.
The pizzas appearance was excellent. The cheese was evenly melted and the toppings distributed well. The bottom of the crust was still a little doughy, almost as if the bottom of their oven barely worked. It was not browned at all, not even a little bit. Other than the crust, the pizza looked great. Overall, our dining experience was good. We will return in the future.

This Pizza joint in Belington, WV is one of the best pizza joints I’ve EVER eaten at. The pizza is amazing. The Hot wings are absolutely awesome! Keep up the GREAT WORK!

Pizza was rather undercooked. The toppings, also felt like they weren’t fresh. They tasted stale. The sauce itself was rather acidic more than the general normal I would expect. The staff were ok, I suppose, but they certainly could have been better. The atmosphere itself was… Also… ok. Considering that I got sick from the pizza, as well as others I bought the pizza for, it was a genuine waste of my money. Not even cooking it in the oven some more made it taste better.

Very down to earth kind people and the food is the bomb. We’ve lived by here for about a year now, and get delivery very often. We have 5 kids so we always order a large bit, which they never seem to mind. Every single person I’ve ever talked to while placing an order or getting my food delivered has been incredibly kind and respectful. I was extremely ill with pneumonia a few weeks back and placed a few orders that week, and I had asked that they leave the food on the porch so I wouldn’t get them sick. They called before they left to let me know they were on their way and the sweet lady I’d ordered from asked me how I was feeling each time I called. The food is extremely good. I recommend their hot ham sandwich, or their calzones and salads. It’s all really good and the people that work here are some of the nicest people I’ve came across. Thank y’all for always being patient with our large orders and always being extremely kind. Don’t forget to tip them y’all

Food from pizza, sandwich, to calzones, I have never been disappointed! Service is wonderful as well. I can take my kids and grandkids with no worry. I love it being so family oriented!
