Absolutely loved it — again!

My boyfriend and I discovered Hometown Hotpot & BBQ last year when we were visiting NYC, and we couldn’t stop thinking about it ever since. So this year, we brought his dad along to try it — and it was just as amazing as we remembered!

The food was fresh and flavorful, the sauces were endless (we loved trying different combinations!), and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

It’s such a fun dining experience — especially if you enjoy grilling your own food or sharing a hotpot meal together. Definitely one of our favorite spots in New York. Highly recommended!

My favorite hot pot place in nyc. Plus the birthday deal is so worth it as long as you come in within 3 days of it and bring 4 people you can eat for free. Sauce station is amazing, and so are the soup bases, which I loved that as a vegetarian I had so many options. I got curry and was very satisfied with all the different veggies i was able to try along with types of tofu and noodles. Love this spot and service is very quick and friendly!

There was a bit of a wait and although it was my first time there, I get the sense that there’s always a wait and with that service may be a hit or a miss. Our server though was great and very helpful. The food was great, but hotpot is one of my favorite dishes so I may be biased but I truly enjoyed it. We chose just the hotpot but there’s an option to do both hotpot and barbecue. It was a full house and kind of on the loud side but we were still able to talk albeit louder than usual. Overall, a great food experience and I’ll definitely go back.!

Been here so many times! The food here is always exceptional!!! Love it and would highly recommend! The beef ribs are so delicious, and just so you know the mala broth is SUPER spicy! But it is still really good so I usually get it with the chicken broth on the other side. Great place for birthday celebrations (bday person eats free if party is 4 or more)! The service is fantastic!!! Can’t wait to be back soon!

Don’t waste your time here.

**Update, my whole party got an upset stomach after we left

The ingredients aren’t fresh, and the table and the plates are dirty. The waiters were friendly but also couldn’t really understand us speaking English.
We got hotpot, and the beef and lamb were good, but the tofu wasn’t fresh. They do have a wide selection of ingredients to choose from. The soy milk tastes funny and super water down, and the sesame oil at the sauce bar has a off putting color and taste from normal sesame oil.

Price was a $41.99 deal for both hotpot and BBQ per person. AYCE. Service was good, we got the curry and Chinese herbal both, the curry broth was very flavorful.

Today we ate at this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

The waiter was rude and very unfriendly. We are from another nationality and are not familiar with their cuisine, but he didn’t try to explain the dishes, recommend anything, or show us how the food is supposed to be eaten.

Throughout the whole time he kept making an unhappy face and behaved as if he didn’t want to serve us.

At the end, the waiter even started asking for a tip in a rude way, even though the service was terrible. He also made complaints toward us and behaved very unprofessionally.

Very unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Serves Malaysian hotpot and bbq. It is an all-you-can-eat restaurant so get your belly ready to be full. The menu is extensive and lot to choose from. They also have several varieties of dipping sauce so its up to you how you will customize it to your liking. The staff are very attentive and nice. The place is also huge and they can host parties for up to 200 people. I definitely recommend this spot!

I found myself in Hometown Hotpot, a couple bottles of soju deep, contemplating life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness on the last night of our work retreat.

37 of us were in here at 9pm, talking about work related stuff which is the last thing I want to do on a Thursday night. I’m working so hard so I never have to go on LinkedIn or talk about frameworks again.

It was my first time having Korean hotpot, and it was honestly such a cool experience. You order the broth you want (I got kimchi), and they put it on the little stove in front of you. As the raw meat and fixings come in, you dip it in your pot quickly to cook before consuming. I loved it. I ate so much.

A lot of the other employees were complaining about it and how it was messy and hard to eat, but I always love getting a little culture and learning how other people eat food. It’s always cool to me idk. That’s the stuff I live for.

Life gets tough sometimes, but Korean Hotpot and some soju can help take the edge off.

The food was great, and I loved the variety of fresh ingredients. However, the service was a bit slow—I had to flag someone down a few times for refills. The staff was friendly when they got to us, just a little overwhelmed. Still, I’d come back for the hot pot experience!
