Im a longtime Henderson resident but this was my first time here. I’ve heard a lot and driven by many times. The interior was exactly as i had imagined, very homey and grandma’s house-like. A bit of a wait, usually a good sign.
Dining room is pretty well spaced tho. We got a booth and our server wasn’t too far behind.
One observation i made quickly, was a full Dining room but staff seemed a little short. I counted 2 taking orders, 1 runner and 2 assistants on the floor and guy picking up plates.
Our order came with a 5 minute delay with 1 of our entrees. A bit of a bummer.
My wife got a waffle, a bit too chewy according to her, I thought it was ok. My daughter got the pancakes, which she liked. I had a bite, i too liked the size and flavor. My only suggestion would be to not use plastic cups for syrup, although im sure its a cost thing.
I ordered the fried pork tenderloin, a delight. Perfectly fried, crisp but tender. Gravy a perfect accent to the steak. The breakfast potatoes/home fries didn’t look great but actually tasted quite good. I finished every bite.
The experience as a whole, was decent and about what i expected. My only gripe was the service was spotty. Not the servers fault, as the dining room was full and she was moving the whole time we were there.
Would I return?? Yes. The good definitely outweighs the negatives

What an amazing experience at such a cool family ran venue. A manager also checked on us to make sure our food was good much like eating at a high end steak house.
Great pricing, great food and great staff. We will be back again for sure! I added current menu pricing and we ordered chicken fried steak and fried pork cutlets. Both tasted amazing!

We stopped at Hometown Country Kitchen in Henderson, Nevada, on our way back home to Phoenix, and it was the perfect little find! It’s a cute, cozy spot filled with Americana and fun memorabilia—very warm and patriotic vibes.

The food was excellent! They did their hash browns exactly right—crispy and golden—and my husband said his egg sandwich was outstanding. I just had sides of hash browns, sausage, and fruit, and the fruit cup was surprisingly generous, with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.

Service was great, and we got seated right away. Everything about it was friendly, tasty, and easy. I’d definitely recommend stopping in if you’re passing through!

Food was very tasty, all the wait staff were great. They worked together perfectly. The atmosphere is just like a country restaurant. An excellent place to get great food. I recommend the chicken and waffles and the biscuits and gravy was also very good.

First time trying this place and thought it was ok to good.

Everything was tasty, except when you looked inside the Ruben there was very very little meat. I regret not getting a picture, but it was someone else’s entree (and they were not impressed). The peach cobbler was good, but very very little peaches (mainly a cake more than anything). Service was good, everyone is friendly.

Would try this one more time and tey other things. Definitely not bad, but not a OMG place.

Excellent service. Great food. We got the BBQ Brisket sandwich and Country Fried Stake. Both were delicious. I was a little let down by the peach cobbler. It’s was mostly cake, with very few peaches. But the flavor was good. My husband loved the lemon cake and it’s a huge slice.

The diner on the inside is very inviting and home-like. The waiting area has several pillows for cushion and the ambience is warm and inviting. Our server was the owner and that says a lot about the restaurant and type of people the owners are. We didn’t have a lot of cash on hand so we shared biscuits and gravy. Fluffy biscuits and bacon gravy!! She brought us a side of breakfast potatoes free!! She said her husband is from Kentucky and that’s his recipe. There’s another side to the menu with chilaquiles and other Hispanic breakfast options. The coffee and the food tastes like home. 100 percent will be coming again.

So glad for Google reviews. This place was fun, great old style decor, enjoyable atmosphere and food was delicious. Cannot wait to come back to try something different from the menu. Food being brought out looked great, and portion sizes were on the larger size. I had the Breaded pork Tenderlion which was excellent. My wife had chicken and waffles which she totally enjoyed. Don’t pass this place up.

Hard to find a good Southern style country kitchen here in Las Vegas/Henderson area. This place check’s all the boxes.
Excellent Service, great food, a warm and cozy atmosphere.

There was a bit of a wait to be seated, but that is a good thing. The country fried steak was excellent and the pancakes were light and fluffy. We will be coming back that this little gem of a restaurant.

Have lived in Henderson for 30 years, all in the Green Valley/Anthem area, however, this was the first time I went to Hometown Country Kitchen. A colleague recommended we go there after a meeting in the area. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and there was a wide variety of options. What I was especially impressed with is how the employees knew several customers by name. It waa apparent that there were “regulars” who frequently eat there and I’m confident that I will dine there again. Well done!!!
