Decided to try their Boba tea and food.
My friend and I tried the Funset Combo.
I got the kimchi, crab rangoon, and chicken padthai. I also tried the pineapple and mango Boba tea. My meal and drink were great!!
My friend had the kimchi and Chicken Pho along with a Boba tea as well (can’t remember the flavor).
We both enjoyed our meals and our teas!!
Just like many other small places do not expect expect great decor. Place is dated and it shows. But if I was looking at how the place looks I would never eat at a lot of amazing place.
When you come in you see menu on the wall with pictures of all dishes which makes it very easy to order for someone who is not familiar with names. Place is little disorganized which is only the reason why I gave it a solid 4 star. I will be back soon to try Thai food.
I was really looking forward to it , but when I opened it, I was pretty shocked what I saw.
The Katsu chicken was too thin with maybe 4 pieces which had some “chicken meat “ inside. And I even didn’t really taste anything like the chicken, just like the fried chicken skin.
Spring roll was ok. But not again.
For an appetizer, I had the Fried Pork Belly Sushi which was a unique flavor.
The main dish was a fried chicken dish which was very good, I would order it again for sure.
I like how they had photos for their menu items. However, the chicken pho just didn’t look appealing to me and seemed higher priced than on-average for other Vietnamese restaurants. I went for grilled pork banh mi, because I’ve been craving (other place I’ve had always seems to be closed).
Server (cook?) was friendly and had good manners (didn’t get a name though). Unfortunately, the sandwich was “uneventful,” and I was bored/waiting for it to be over. The seasoning on the pork was a little on bland side, lacking salt factor and the slaw/relish merely existed lacking the sweet and vinegar acidity I was looking for. I got slight heat from the peppers. Not a fan of the one long piece of cucumber, but that’s just preference (I prefer pieces). I was initially greeted by nice smell of bread and it was the best part of the sandwich.
I was handed receipt with a fortune cookie…
andit was nice that they let me taste test an avocado “smoothie” they’re thinking to put on menu. I left only to come back to give full feedback (it had great flavor but consistency was too rich/thick/heavy to ingest more than a few spoonfuls). Also, they have a new Thai menu. Wary of how the rest of menu tastes, but I always try to give places at least a 2nd chance.
We shall see if I return to check the pho out (that’s my usual goto for Vietnamese, so I hate to ruin my faves). It’s due to the friendliness of staff that I consider 2nd chance. I’ll try to let you know if and when I do on how they do on that!
