Got a double kalbi plate around 7pm

I saw all the negative reviews about this place going downhill and still decided to try it. I guess that was a mistake.
I ordered Da Beast and noticed it was lacking the Kalua pig.
I asked the girl at the register about it hoping I could just get a side to add to the meal because it’s one of my favorite flavor elements of the meal. I know it was in stock because my husband had some with his meal.
She told me “yeah, we changed the menu.” When I pointed out that it was still on the menu, she replied, “yeah, we just haven’t updated it yet.” She then continued packing up other meals, clearly uninterested in helping me even.
It’s illegal to advertise something on the menu and provide something different. It’s a bait and switch. Between that and her crap attitude, I won’t be back to this location.

Ordered to go. Korean Chicken – 1st pic: those brown spots are dried out & hard. 2nd pic: Katsu chicken – tasted plain. 3rd pic: battered zucchini- too much batter that zucchini did not stick to it, parts of batter was still raw. The macaroni mayonaise salad tasted plain. 4th pic: $10 wilted salad. We went around 6pm – maybe bad time to go. Maybe the food tastes fresh early in the day

Delicious food! I haven’t had Spam since I was a child so trying it again was interesting but delicious! The meat lumpia was a little disappointing. They didn’t have much flavor. The sauces were delicious and I loved that they made they’re lemonades fresh as they’re ordered.

NO LAVA SAUCE ON BOTH ORDERS OF LAVA CHICKEN Usually the food is good when we order here but this time we got home and noticed there was no lava sauce on our lava chicken or the big bruddah combo. Usually the sauce is on the side but our bag was empty so now we just have a bunch of dry chicken.

This chula vista homestyle specifically, is pretty bad. Second time going, the teri beef is like bubble gum. The staff is horrific, boyfriend coming in hanging out, all loud like it was his home. The trash spilling out. If the food was on point it would be one thing, but that food was really bad the last 2 times. I will say i still stick to LnL national city. I dont say this lightly but hopefully this place is out of business soon, so that these working class

As always this place never disappoints. Some really good authentic Hawaiian food! Whenever I’m back in San Diego I make it a mission to come and eat here! So filling and delicious! Kind of bummed they don’t have Dole Ice Cream anymore but they did suggest a place called MJ’s Deli just up the stairs, however was closed at the time. Will be back again!!

Loco moco egg was super overcooked, rubbery and the yolk was hard and chalky. Check the pics. I was looking forward to a runny yolk as they typically should be, but this cook didn’t put any care at all into the food. If you didn’t make a sunny side egg correctly, try again… don’t serve an egg so inedible that it could be thrown like a frisbee to the customer

Hello, before eating here, please take a moment from your day to read:
We just visited this place recently (on Tuesday before watching Venom) and was extremely dissatisfied and with our visit.
First of all the staff wasn’t friendly. It seemed like the two cooks were on their lunch break and were disappointed when we walked in (giving us dirty looks.)
And the main guy seemed like he was having a rough day when taking our order, repeatedly saying , “anything else”..
I ordered the Korean Chicken with their Ponzu sauce and a side order of salad. (Attached a pic.) The salad barely had any dressing (which was good because I’m cutting but still)
The main thing I received after coming here was hardcore diarrhea and vomiting before watching our movie. I was on a 15 hour fast before eating here so I know this place was the cause. I was reading some reviews and some people got food poisoning from this place as well from ordering the chicken..
Beware of ordering any chicken from this place.. would have much rather went to L&Ns, El Pollo Loco or my moms house than eating here.
I am definitely not coming back here ever again, and if I can help prevent at least one customer from food poisoning, then I truly believe that this was a successful google review.
