Homestyle Desserts had it’s origins in the Village of Buchanan, where in 1970 Rose began making apple dumplings in a coal oven at the bake shop called Dutch Mill Donuts. Today we have an ever increasing choice of treats for all occasions.

Got my wedding cake from here through my caterer and I couldn’t have been happier! The cake was DELICIOUS and GORGEOUS! Not many people can say that about their wedding cake. We opted for vanilla frosting with chocolate cake that had a layer of chocolate mousse and a layer of cheesecake. It was the perfect balance of chocolaty but mixed with the light airy cheesecake layer.

Omg is all I can say! Everything is bought was yummy. A coffee cake i got was so delicious I didn’t want to share it! Lol cookies were all so good and I bought quite a few variations as I couldn’t decide! Go and you won’t be sorry. They also have gift baskets.

I love this bakery and it’s the ONLY good bakery in the area. There’s almost alwayss a line inside and sometimes the service is slow but the wait is definitely worth it! There is a great variety and I hope to order a large cake from them someday! The macarons were so yummy and each had a unique flavor. My husband and I both loved the kombucha too!

I’m from New England where every farm stand ,apple orchard, bakery has some sort of apple cider donut. I was blown away when I tasted the apple cider donut at the fair this past weekend and Carol was absolutely amazing too. So good that I had to bring home a dozen of them so my family could enjoy the best apple cider donut I ever had and I have had a lot. I was so happy to hear that I could have them shipped to my house. Looking forward to having them again. To the baker who made this delicious donut I celebrate your talent. We have been going to Homestyle for decades! The food has always been delicious. My issue is that for some reason, no matter what we do, when we order for Christmas the order never gets done right at all. This is three years in a row. For two years, my wife called in a week ahead of time to place an order for Christmas. Very plainly laid out what she wanted. Both times, the order wasn’t even close to what she ordered. This year I told her let’s physically go down there. We watched the guy write out the order, checked it, all good. Well not at all. I can’t for the life of me figure out what the problem is. I just can’t do this anymore. For what they charge I should at least get what I paid for. Sorry Homestyle, but you have lost a lifelong customer

Hands down the best bakery. The desserts are phenomenal, the service is always top notch. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Would recommend Homestyle over and over and over. Recently got their strawberry crumb cake and it was the seriously the best cake. Strawberry cake with cheesecake and strawberry on the inside with strawberry crumbles on the outside? Absolutely yes. I know i just said a lot of strawberry but it wasn’t overly sweet or strawberry-y. I can’t even begin to explain how good that cake was. People are still talking about it!!! Can’t wait to work with them to create my wedding cake this year. If you’re looking for memorable desserts and kind service, look no further !
