The Homestead in Bristol which first opened in 1978 just underwent a major renovation in the summer of 2018 with a completely new tavern area. This project comes on the heals of the 2017 creation of our beautiful outdoor patio. The Homestead offers tender steaks, fresh seafood, comfort foods and tavern selections sure to please any appetite. So join us in the fall and winter to dine by one of our many fireplaces or visit in the summer and spring to dine under the stars. We will be waiting to serve you with a smile.

The Homestead Restaurant serves solid comfort food in a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere. The portions are generous, but the prices are a little high. You’re probably better off with burgers and staples here than fine dining entrees. Service was very good.

The food and service here is just amazing! We came here for dinner and even though the parking lot was full, we were seated instantly. Every single staff member here was very friendly and eager to help. Our waitress was on the ball! Any request and she was on it! The quality of food here is remarkable. You can tell everything is made on site and not frozen. The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming! I never saw a restaurant have so many lit fireplaces! If I’m ever in the area again, you can be sure we will be having dinner here. Well done, Homestead!

Food was just ok. My son’s steak tips were a low quality cut. French fries are frozen, not fresh. The 1/2 roast chicken was dry. Just expected a little more quality for a place with cloth napkins.

I don’t think we’ll be going back to this restaurant until this place turns their food quality and service issues around. While our particular server was very polite and nice, she never delivered the salads before the meals and failed to tell one of us that the meal ordered was no longer available. So, when all the meals came after about a 25 minute wait he had nothing in front of him and had to reorder something else while we all had our food. Nothing was even comped for the egregious mishaps.

Absolutely delicious food, great service. The outdoor patio was beautiful and our server Delaney was so attentive and helpful. Best seafood Alfredo I’ve ever had and my husband loved the risotto. The cocktails were so good too. Definitely will be back.

Delicious home style food with great flavors and ample portions. The old farmhouse is a charming setting for dinner while the new tavern is bright and spacious. Service was very friendly and helpful and was happy to look into options for dietary restrictions. Pricing is reasonable given the quality and portions. This is a slower paced dinner but a great place for dates or for family dinners.

Saturday 7/31/2021 , Saturday . We tried this restaurant today for lunch time . It was four of us . It was very good . Our waiter Shawn was very nice and polite . I loved the outdoor patio and the appetizer was great . We got the appetizer that brings a bit of everything . It was a really nice quiet time . I wanted to try this place beaches of this History behind it . It was a lovely place .

I had the Caesar salad side with chicken Capri as the entree. The rolls, banana bread and pumpkin bread was devoured by the grandkids to rave reviews. Great experience even late on a busy Saturday evening!
