Stopped in yesterday to grab a bite since I haven’t been in decades. Grabbed a cold yuengling and burger and fries. Burger was really good and fries were good as well. Burgers was served hot and fresh. Atmosphere was nice as well with mounts on wall of different animals and fish. Great Service and Great Employees !!!!!!

Ate here a few times and it was ok. Had the Cajun shrimp pasta today and it was very bad. Couldn’t even eat half of it. For the price they charge the food should be a better quality. The place caters for an older crowd and it shows. New owners take over on the 28th so maybe it will get better.

They give you half the menu. They over charge for food that taste like it was microwaved. I paid 16.00 for the worst lasagna I have eaten. The menu given to you starts at 15.00 and goes to 40.00. The portions are small. The place had 3 tables of customers the rest was completely empty.

The young lady who was our server was friendly. We did have fun with her about the fact she didn’t know answers to a few of our questions about the food and specials and such, it was all in good fun and she was great. Each one of us had different dinners, but there were no complaints from any of us because the food was really good.

There was hardly anyone here, so there was no wait to be seated. The restaurant itself is very nice. There is a beautiful fireplace. Food was amazing! Service was great! I just don’t like that they don’t have their wings on the regular menu. Put all of your offerings on the same menu! Parking lot is kind of horrible if you’re disabled.

We were in the Banquet room for a party. Went over to the bar quite a few times. Nice place with a really nice outside area in the back with corn hole, firepit, small pond. Pizza was awesome

If you like a family oriented, laid back dining experience, this is the place. Nice menu with daily homemade soup and salad bar. Great prices!
Update: They eliminated the salad bar but you can still order the homemade soup. If I could take away a half star I would. But the service, food and prices still merit a 5.

I would like to give a better review, but I have nothing to say… Came in, sat at the bar, bartender saw me, left the bar, I sat for about 10 minutes before I decided to leave! Didn’t get a drink, would have liked to, but when the bartender disappears for 10 minutes, it’s a little hard to do. Recently moved to area, looking for new bar, this will not be it!

This place is a hidden gem. I lived in Johnstown my whole life, drove by this countless times but it wasn’t until I attended a birthday gathering until I actually went into the Homestead. I not only went back but took my friends and family. Its a cozy setting with a home like atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but not over bearing. The have a wide menu and out of all the dishes I seen delivered, were excellent. Their Ribeye is my favorite so far. Food was delicious, portions were generous and price cheap. The establishment is clean to include the restrooms and family friendly. If you haven’t stopped at the Homestead, I highly recommend it.
