Wonderful friendly service in this cozy cafe. The parsnip and leek soup was hot and tasty, be sure to scrape the bottom to include the raisin in your spoonful. The cups actually paired nicely with the soup and I wished it had a little side with it, especially at $10 a bowl. The blueberry tort was very tasty, though I think I’ll try something else next time. The chicken sandwich was really tasty, not your usual chicken salad, in the best possible way. The cappuccino was perfect, the tea was also delicious. Seating was limited, but tables turnover quickly. Overall, it was a little pricey, yet I would splurge again.

Perfect place for our team meeting today! We were able to work for a few hours while enjoying their tasty menu! I had the avocado toast which was so fresh and delicious. I also had a hot vanilla latte that was so smooth, they even brought everything to our table with fresh water, came out and checked on us. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and whoever was in charge of the playlist did a great job. We will be back!

Small local coffee and lunch spot where the chef values healthy and delicious food. The chicken breast is top quality and the salads are fresh every time. The staff greets everyone as if they are friends from the start and welcome all. The indoor space is limited but lots of outdoor seating and a countertop usually helps get you a seat. Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots or just grab a coffee when I’m close by.

Had a wonderful lunch at Home Room. Super cute atmosphere, wonderful food, and attentive service. They were slammed when we arrived and still did a great job of bringing us our food and being responsive. Complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch. Outdoor seating is perfect when the weather is nice. Staff was very gracious and even made us something off the breakfast menu when we showed up at lunch. Highly recommend for a fast and tasty lunch very reminiscent of our favorite spots in the city.

Update 9/26: I returned to Homeroom and placed the same order I did on my first visit. The food was as delicious as it was the first time and the staff was as friendly! The place has a positive energy to it and you can tell they have a lot of regulars they know by name. The manager/owner & I connected over my previous experience and this time the issues were entirely resolved. I’d happily eat this sandwich everyday! The Urfa cardamom latte is delicious! I recommend ordering it piping hot. I appreciate that the owners attempted to rectify the legitimate concern I had and did so professionally. We had a very cordial interaction. The staff here is always great in times I’ve visited. I will return and would recommend this place. Mistakes happen but knowing a company will address them makes me want to support them more. I updated photos as well.

I really enjoyed the sandwich I ordered here. unfortunately it cost me $20 for a small end piece of bread with salmon on it, added avocado and a couple slivers of red onion. It was delicious but offensive that it cost that much and all I got was a lousy small piece. I’ve seen the other photos on the reviews that were the size I’d expect for the cost. I did remove a small piece of it before taking the photo but I’m sharing the photo because the quality and taste of the food was superb. I just can’t justify why it was $30 for a small piece of toast w/ salmon and a dirty chai.

Visited on a rainy and gloomy day, but was lucky enough to find seating indoors! They also have an outdoor area that’s covered by a roof though. The ambiance of this cafe is soo nice… it’s cozy, yet minimalistic and clean. I ordered the Urfa Cardamom latte and it was amazing: the perfect ratio of espresso to milk and level of sweetness. The quality of the espresso is able to shine through even in a latte which I feel like is a rare find!! Overall, I’d highly recommend trying this cafe out if you’re nearby!

Homeroom was great. The bagels were top notch! Everyone was very friendly. This definitely isn’t a place for large crowds but perfect for 1-4 people for breakfast. The prices were very fair; they’re typical of what you’d spend for a casual breakfast.

Gather your Canada Goose and 3 carat diamond ring, because to enter this rarified coffee-lunch-shop air, you’ll need something to fit in. This place is a tremendous find, clearly with a chef from city-level fine dining. The chicken salad sandwich is fresh with an incredible array of fresh herbs in the mix and crunchy yet soft sandwich bread. You’ll surely not go wrong with a grain salad topped with chicken – super high quality meat – the difference is clear. I was also impressed by my matcha latte – not as much by the chocolate chip cookie. The grapefruit soda was also distinct with a hint of thyme and a perfect amount of sweet and bubble. I can hardly wait to return and enjoy the very best again.
