For the price, oh yeah. This is a big hit. I have been going there since I was a kid. Bagels are excellent, always have been. The service is efficient, friendly, and still carried out with a calm energy. Great staff right now. Personally, I cannot afford to eat at ANY of the restaurants in Sonoma. The exception is places like this and other ‘cheaper’ fare. It’s the fact that the quality is so high and the prices so low, that really grabs me. Loyal for life. Keep it up!

Absolutely LOVED these bagels!!!! We had two bagel sandwiches with different fillings, both delicious. The Jalapeno cream cheese was so yum. The bagels are fresh and just the right texture. The staff were so lovely, really excellent service. Highly recommend for brekky or lunch!!!

By far the best bagels in the entire state, maybe even the entire country! The service is fantastic, always by someone friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated interior. I’ve met the owner, and he is a really nice person, super to get to know! You can’t go wrong stepping in the door to Homegrown Bagels.

At Homegrown Bagels in Sonoma, they’re not just baking bagels—they’re crafting carb masterpieces! Imagine a bagel so perfect, it could make a New Yorker weep with joy. Whether it’s the classic lox smothered in cream cheese and capers or a wild pastrami dream piled high on a rye bagel, this place has a bagel combo for every palate.

It’s like they kidnapped all the best flavors and held them hostage inside a doughy circle of happiness. And let’s talk about their sandwich game—it’s so strong, you’ll need a napkin just to handle the juicy awesomeness.

Located snugly in the Sonoma Marketplace, Homegrown Bagels is your go-to spot for a breakfast that’s worth getting out of bed for. Swing by, grab a bite, and let your taste buds go nuts in the best possible way.

As an annual visitor to Sonoma, Homegrown Bagels is our go-to start to as many mornings as possible. I think about the lox bagel at least once a month. It’s great to have such variety (truly hard to choose they’re all so good!). Love the hometown feel and it’s obvs a local favorite.

The bagels are really good! We’re fans of the mini bagels. Everyone who works there is very friendly too! Occasionally they’ll offer our kids juice samples, which of course are the highlight for them.

I’m from the East Coast, but lived in Sonoma for some years, and now back on the East Coast. I always try to make time for a Homegrown bagel. I’ve told people that if they think good bagels only come from New York, you’ve never had one in Sonoma.

I came here in high hopes of new York style bagels, per a few other reviews. As I’m a NY’er with a carb fetish.

I think they are in the style of NY bagels for sure (not Noah’s or Einstein thank goodness). But my sesame bagel was much more crunchy and baked on the outside than I like, so not as chewy, dense and satisfying as H&H or Essa in NY. So not exactly what I was hoping for but better than most bagels I’ve had in California.

I also would have liked more cream cheese on the lox special. Usually I take a ton of cc OFF my cc bagels at other places cuz there is too much, but here, I wanted a bunch more that wasn’t there. It seemed like whipped cream cheese instead of brick cc so it sort of dissolves into nothing.

All in all, good NY style bagels but a little dry and crunchy than I like.

I almost forgot to mention! The coffee was quite good. I drink my coffee black and it was nutty and full flavored, not too acidic/fruity. A good strong brew.

As someone from New York, I have a high standard when it comes to bagels and I have to say Homegrown Bagels impressed me with their lox special on everything bagel. It’s not quite a NY bagel but pretty darn good and the best I’ve had in California.

The staff were also very nice, helpful and friendly.
