Fish: undercooked and transparent although I requested well done.
Onion rings: greasy, hard, empty, no flavor
Fries: hot, cooked correctly
Hot Sauce: they put water in it. Hot sauce is not so expensive that they need to water it down. It should have a slight thicker consistency. It’s very light orange and watery like vinegar. It’s water or very old hot sauce. They can make someone ill.
Service: 0/10… they do not care about customer service. Once they collect the money, everything else is up in the air. Refused me a refund although my order was incorrect. Was told $16.74 on the phone but it was $20.85 on arrival. Requested a receipt and was DENIED such. Requested that the young lady who rung me up come back and fix it and was told “I DONT KNOW”. Asked if my order could be made the way I placed it over the phone and received a shoulder shrug. It’s amazing when they understand when you irder but have no knowledge when it’s incorrect. I used to recommend their fish because it’s the only thing that tastes good but I’ll never spend another penny in this place.

Hometown Deli is not for the critical or weak at heart. It is more tailored for you if you work nearby and have no other choices.
I went essential with the Bacon, Egg, and cheese sandwich. I added my usual “well done” request for the bacon. This is my first visit, so I am unaware of how this will go.
Once I opened the sandwich to get a better look, I realized what it was. This was another case where my words were as tinkling brass.
As you will see from the photo, the bacon is not well done. The bread had more crunch than the bacon. There was jelly, thank you; I also tasted some butter, thank you. The eggs and cheese were uninspired.
Two or three bites were all I needed for a clear picture.

Terrible cheesesteak……too salty,cheese wouldn’t melt and barely had any meat on the sub….Stopped there because it was close to the courthouse and I had jury duty…..never again

Love their fried chicken especially if the grease is fresh. We did chicken wings for an entire week. Until the last day Thurs. the Grease was burned. Wings smelled greasy. Not like the fresh chicken we always get.

While picking up my food, I witnessed some lady bring her unleashed dog in here. Staff said nothing, and when I said something to her about it, the cashier acted like she had no idea what I was talking about.

They are too concerned with getting everyone who comes in. Ordered my food, had a meeting that took an hour (not unlike before), walked down to pick it up. Waited in line for 10 mins and these idiots never prepared my food.
It makes zero sense that the cashier is bagging food as it is ready when there is a 10+ person line.
Then yelled at me that I took too long. As much money as I spend here. Absolutely never again.
