Home Team Pub is hands down one of the best hidden gems in the Liverpool/Syracuse area. From the outside, you’d never guess how spacious and inviting this place really is, but once you step in, it completely opens up into a large, vibrant space filled with Syracuse Orangemen pride and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
As big SU fans, we immediately loved the decor. Orange and blue accents, memorabilia, and team spirit fill the space without being over the top. It’s got a sports bar feel but still manages to be cozy and family-friendly.
One of the coolest features is the sectioned-off dart area – perfect for a casual game night with friends. It’s tucked just off the bar, which is stocked and lively without ever feeling overcrowded. Whether you’re coming in to catch a game or just to grab dinner, there’s a space that fits your vibe.
Now onto the food – absolutely stellar. We had the pot roast (melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of rich flavor), the chicken riggies (perfectly creamy with the right kick of spice), and a sampling of their specialty chicken wings. The wings were some of the best we’ve had—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with flavor. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve, and it shows in every bite.
Everything was served piping hot and just the way we ordered it, which brings me to the staff – they were exceptional. Super friendly, always smiling, and incredibly attentive. Our drinks were never empty, the food came out quickly, and they checked in just the right amount. That kind of service goes a long way these days, and they nailed it.
Also worth mentioning: the bathrooms. Clean, updated, and actually stylish – which is not something you often get at sports bars or pubs. It’s just one more detail that shows how well this place is run.
All in all, we had a fantastic experience at Home Team Pub. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is 100% worth checking out. Great food, great service, awesome vibe – we’ll definitely be back!

Food is pretty good when they do it right, but most of the time I order wings to go and specifically ask for extra crispy, I get home and they’re barely cooked or undercooked and chewy. Also barely any sauce on my most recent order. Probably going to find a new wing spot.

Had heard alot about the restaurant, decided it was time to try it. Went in with high expectations,had them met and raised to boot! Can poutine be held to a gold standard? Locally it might be close, gravy was AMAZING and a small touch like diced green onions made a world of positive difference. Had their sandwich called the Stinger, a very tasty and certainly filling mashup of a Philly steak and a buffalo tender sandwich. Wife had a pot roast grilled cheese, which was something we’d heard about, and we’re grateful we did….just a wonderful savory sandwich. Waitress was quite friendly, everything was prompt, definitely larger than it looks outside. They have some return customers in us for sure.

We tried HTP for a date night after hearing many recommendations about the wings, and the beer selection. The atmosphere was expectedly loud as SU football was on TV. The service was good, especially with how busy it was. The food was good, and the wings were FANTASTIC. Overall, it was a fun night out, and the bill was very reasonable. Definitely recommend the wings and beer!

We called weeks in advance as we were having Friendsgiving with 25 people to make sure they were capable of hosting all of us so we made a reservation for 25 people as they said it was no problem at all!! Well we start showing up they had a spot reserved for 16 people we told them this isn’t enough they said ok we will try and figure out and grant you the back room was empty and they had set it up for a party for the following evening! The place was extremely busy which was fine if they had taken care of our reservation but they did not and seemed to be annoyed they had to find extra tables and chairs as part of our party was standing and waiting!! Again the back room was available instead squeezed us in the corner by the door where we were cramped together hard to move around! Waitress was pleasant but very overwhelmed we had to go get our drinks as she couldn’t keep
Up and no one was helping her other than to bring food out when it was ready! Part of us got our food where the rest did not til most of us were already done eating and some were leaving before others even got their food!! The food was really good but the experience was not good at all for an event that was suppose to be special for all of us to get together! We won’t be back

If you like sports bars and especially Syracuse sports, this is the place!!! It’s big with lots of TVs and outdoor seating with lawn game area is fun. The food was excellent bar food. Loved my putine. It had lots of gravy and cheese! And if you like cheese ( who doesn’t?) get there Mac and cheese!!! It was some macaroni swimming in a pool of cheese. My cheese steak excellent! Lots of beer to choose from and the service was attentive. I loved this place and plan to watch some SU football here!

Came here for a nice dinner, we had it a few weeks back & it was great so we were really excited for tonight. Little did we know, it wouldn’t be the same. The nachos had way too much toppings, the chips were all soggy we had to dig through them to get good ones.

What a great place for dinner!!! Cassie was excellent as our server. Our food was perfectly cooked and delicious in flavor. Cassie made our birthday guest feel special with a happy birthday song and a candle with the birthday girls cheesecake. Steven was impressive with his assistance to his servers and patrons. Steven is the reason that brings us to Hometeam. This was a great evening and a great venue to spend for our families special day.

I found this place summer of 2022, I really like their chicken wings (reaper chicken was the best) habanero mango, is my favorite. They never have celery for my wings, though. It’s a hit or miss on the celery. Monday nights are half price wings. Their home team specials drink is delicious for the most part, depending on the bartenders. Some take for f***king ever even when the bar is empty. We have waited 30 minutes for our drinks at a time, before. Some of the waitresses are unpleasant, but we have managed to make friends with one or 2 that makes coming here worth wild. If it wasn’t for our favorite waitress Diane we probably wouldn’t come back. We have become regulars coming in wkly to see Diane and the half price wings. When she is off, we don’t have a satisfactory service. So we thank you Diane, keep up the good customer service!!!

My family and I ,11 of us had dinner there Wednesday and the food was delicious! Everyone was very happy with there orders. But above all our waitress Diane was amazing! She didn’t make one mistake, was quick with refills and anything else we needed! When we come back, which we will I hope we’re lucky enough to have her!
