Not Stacy’s Buffet anymore, now know as New York Buffet. This was THE worst meal in my whole life! When it was Stacy’s Buffet, it was a good value and good food. Now that it is New York Buffet it is awful! The food is not homemade anymore, it is all instant. It was so nasty that I could not even take but a bite or two. My husband got the catfish and he had to spit it out and run to the bathroom to throw up. I would not feed my dog this food. We went to the manager and told him that the food was bad and we wanted a refund. He told us that there was a sign at the front that said no refunds. So I demanded a refund and he threatened to call the Sheriff on us!! My husband has been throwing up since we left. I was so disappointed that the restaurant had changed hands. We will NEVER go back to there again. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is horrible.

I have never been one to complain about a restaurant before, this is actually the first review I’ve ever written. I truely felt disgusted by the food here! I wasn’t even able to eat my salad, which is usually my favorite thing about going out. The dressing was ranch flavored water, the tomatoes were complete mush and the croutons were so stale they were soft and gross. The tea was not sweet and it tasted like the pot hadn’t been cleaned in years. I was only able to get down one sip and a few slices of cucumber. Besides the food the whole place looked dirty and the floors were so gross our shoes stuck to them. I just got and now have to go figure out what I’m eating for dinner because I’m starving. Please save your hard earned money, this place is so so not worth it!!!!

Haven’t been to Stacey’s in almost a year. Love their fried chicken ! Went there last night and were sorely disappointed ! Got there at 6.30pm. overall look of the food was awful !! Dried and overheated mashed potatoes, dry chicken. rusty lettuce, very thin salad dressing etc. Fruit was good, also ice cream. I’ve gone there many times in the last 15 years and this was the worst experience ever. Will not go there again. I’m not sure how they stay in business !

It was smart of them to get the money before you see all of the dried up and overcooked food on the buffet. Everything is cold and does not maintain proper food service temperatures. I believe if the health department inspected this place they would be shut down immediately. The worst buffet I have ever eaten in my life! The health department should shut this place down because I was up all night last night ill after eating dinner there last night! I am strongly considering calling the health department and reporting this place on Monday! The meatloaf was unrecognizable and the only way I know it was meatloaf was because it was notated on the glass with a dry erase marker up above. The meatloaf resembles spongy poop! The fish was not fillet or nuggets but was fish crumbles. All of the vegetables were mushy and overcooked! The ham is too salty and you have to slice it yourself. The oyster chicken is fatty and grisly. The only somewhat edible items were the canned three bean salad, the store bought coconut macaroons, and the baked chicken which I think gave me food poisoning because it and everything else was cooked before lunch and sat there all day and until evening. I did not see them changing out old food for fresh items like other buffets I have ate at. I will never eat here again and I will more than likely report this place to the health department as a result of getting ill from the food. You get what you pay for so if you want to go out to eat go eat somewhere where you pay a little more but do not risk your health eating old nasty food that has been sitting on the buffet since morning and is not kept hot.

So this was perhaps the worst buffet I have ever been to. We called before we went to see what were the featured items on the buffet and they said friday was seafood night amd it was $7.99 terriffic! We love sea food and what a great price we thought. We are here visiting my grandpa for the weekend so we all went. We did not realize they close at 8 and arrived at about 7:25. They did not mention the closing time and there were 10 in our party. They require you to prepay for your food with a big sign that says no refunds. That should have been a clue. The heaters to the buffet island with the seafood was already turned off so everything on that island was cold. And room tempature. We told the waiter and he said yeah the owners turn it off early. The seafood consisted of frozen fish sticks, fried shrimp and fried catfish. None of it is tasty cold. The everything was tasting hours old and lukewarm everywhere else. Typical buffet food otherwise. Dont wadte your time or money, if you do go early

The last time in January was scary.
The soda tasted strange and they didn’t know what dressings were out on the salad bar. Sadly, the famous chicken was dried out. We may never go back. Very sad.

Always a good value. This is my third visit and will be back. Beats Golden corral hands down. Great prices good food and great selection. And who cares about the décor. You go for the food not decor. Its just retro inside what’s wrong with that. Keep up the good work. 🙂

Absolutely the worst. Evidently they’ve learned they have to get the money up front. No-one would pay for their garbage after the first bite. I think I could prepare a better buffet with the leftovers in our refrigerator. Don’t go!

No half star available, so one star will have to do. Save your money. This place is terrible. It is homestyle food, but very low quality. Atmosphere is extremely outdated and worn. Would never go back and certainly never recommend it.

The food is fair and the staff is indifferent. This place is run down and needs to be upgraded. I’ve eaten here several times but finally decided I won’t be going back.
