Pizzeria serving NY-style pizza, beer, and wine amid vintage and quirky decor, plus a kids’ play area.

Parking is terrible.
Came in and the server was friendly and attentive. I ordered two special slices and one margherita slice. I did not like the margherita and he kindly offered to take it off which I appreciated even though it was not necessary.
After tasting the special slice I decided to order a regular size special pizza to go. Before it came out they brought me another slice and another soda so I was already pretty full. When I realized I was not going to eat the whole pizza I tried to ask if it was too late to cancel but it had already come out.
I also forgot my wallet so they had to bring out the digital payment option which took a while. After I scanned to pay I then had to wait again for a paper copy and sign it physically which felt excessive and personal.
When I tried to get the server’s attention to remove the pizza since I was no longer going to eat it he kept moving and told me to have a good day without coming back. I ended up leaving the pizza on the table and told the staff they could have it. For the record the special slices did taste good even though they were floppy.
Fifty dollars for three flop jalop slices and two Dr Peppers. Awesome! Best life experience.

Home Slice has more online hype than any other restaurant in Austin. Interestingly, the love is mainly for their sandwiches, not their pizza. And boy howdy do their sandwiches live up to the hype. The bread is delicious but leaves room for flavors from freshly sliced meats & cheese, homemade vinegary spread, and a perfect balance of vegetables. It’s hard to describe how delicious these sandwiches are – you simply have to try one. Of course, the pizza and sides are also amazing! Service is incredibly quick and the servers are more efficient and kind than any other restaurant in Austin. The vibes are immaculate, whether you dine inside or out. It’s kid friendly, but also has a fantastic adult drink menu. The only struggle is parking – which is admittedly 100x better than the other Austin location. If you’re visiting Austin or laying down roots here, you must try the internet’s favorite sub sandwich shop.

Best pizza in Austin! I’ve been going to both locations for a few years now.
The slices are great and they are usually ready pretty quickly. My favorite is the pepperoni slice, but they also have a good variety that rotates daily.
You should also try the Italian sandwich… it is SO good! It takes awhile for them to make it, but is worth it! It’s the best Italian sandwich in Austin! Get the dill chips with it!
The desserts are also really good. I like the rice crispy treats and the cannolis.
They’re open late and also have dine in or take out.

Home Slice Pizza in Austin absolutely nailed it with their Margherita pizza. The fresh mozzarella was perfectly creamy, the diced Roma tomatoes were bright and flavorful, and the extra virgin olive oil tied everything together beautifully. You can really taste the garlic and basil in every bite, and it all comes across incredibly fresh and balanced. Simple ingredients done the right way. Easily one of the best Margherita pizzas I’ve had in Austin. Can’t wait to come back for another slice.

This place is good, I love the pizza. It’s delicious we got the standard pizza, pepperoni and mushroom. I wouldn’t recommend the garlic knots, when they were given to us they weren’t garlicky? It was just a crunchy bread roll. They have a bar and it looks great. A separate area for ordering out. I will come back to order out. I don’t recommend sitting down because finding parking is difficult. I got lucky because someone was leaving but the parking lot is a bit small. So do be careful when you enter and leave. I don’t recommend parking at anyones house because that’s just rude. The service was a bit a sketchy when we asked for a box they took our food and placed it in a bag? With a paper plate? I have no idea who we pissed off but it is what it is. Also I understand that it was a busy time the more we were there but we had like 3 different servers. Which was usual because you usually have the same one. The noise level is a bit loud too so make sure to be prepared for that. This is a candle lit dinner and it was a very nice set up they had, booths, high tables, small tables, a bar. Will return to try the subs and wings because they sound delicious and the pizza alone was able to back it up.

Best pizza / ranch and Italian subs in Austin.
My fave slice is only served on Mondays – broccoli & ricotta. Large menu options, great customer service and plenty of drinks as well.

Such an amazing experience at Home Slice Pizza. This place is an Austin classic for a reason. Great food, awesome service, and an atmosphere that feels both laid-back and iconic. The pizza was fantastic—simple, high quality, and incredibly satisfying. If you’re in Austin and love great pizza, this spot should be on your list.

My first visit to homeslice was the location in downtown town Austin years ago and loved it. Saw that there was another location near my hotel so decided to order a few slice. This location is much bigger than the other location and provides full service with a bar. The restaurant was jammed so we elected to sit at the bar. Got the special , margarita and vegan pizza. Everything came out piping hot. The crust was thin and crispy NY style and the way I like it. No complaints here and will definitely come back if ever in the area.

Really great brick oven hand tossed pizza. We ordered a whole pizza for the two of us. Ordering four slices was almost as much as the whole pie. I suggest brining a few people when you go. If going in the evening or on the weekend get ready to park down the street on the street, because it will get busy quickly. There’s a long line for takeout so order ahead for any takeout that you want. The food is great and the bar is cozy. Wait staff was very friendly. The decor was pretty cool, it had an old school vibe.
