Drove from Richlands Virginia to Abington Virginia approximately 54 miles one way and stopped at Home Slice Cafe for lunch. What a great place. Warm, nostalgic, unique, atmosphere, very clean and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the amount of food is abundant. My Bacon cheeseburger was huge. My favorite was the homemade chili. It was so good I ordered two orders to take home for dinner. I highly recommend this resturant and will definitely be returning.

This place is great. Mom and Pop places like this are usually entirely about the food, however, the people really make this place special. The daily specials are very generous and different from day to day. Don’t miss the breakfasts as the potatoes really stand out. The people make you feel at home which adds a whole lotta love to the experience!

I ordered a small bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger was so dry it was like chewing leather. The onion rings were all breading and no sight of an onion. My husband wasn’t happy with his bacon cheeseburger. At least the fries were hot and crunchy.

This place has the BEST chicken tenders and unique BBQ sauce that I can’t get enough of. Everything I’ve had has been tasty! I devoured the food before realizing I hadn’t taken any photos.

This was quite literally the best breakfast I’ve had eating out. Ever. I got the kitchen sink omelet without mushrooms, easily the best omelet I’ve ever had. The biscuit was super fresh and fluffly, the gravy was great, and the fried potatoes were the best I’ve had to. My only complaint was that my stomach wasn’t able to fit it all
Also the waitress was super nice and quick despite how busy it was with her being the only one on the floor & at the register! If I ever find myself near here again, I will definitely being coming back.

Very relaxing place to eat, well decorated and homey feeling. Food is delicious, service staff is welcoming and friendly, food is pretty quick depending on size of orders.

What a gem this place is! Delicious home cooked meals that are ridiculously cheap. Anything you could imagine was on the menu and they didn’t hesitate to customize something for us. They have great dessert options from pies to shakes. The service was some of the best I’ve received in a while too.
