Talk about an absolute treasure. We not only came in the evening but also come for breakfast the next day, because it was so great.
The server’s were kind, tentative and happy. The food was large portions and delicious with lots of great options. Also greatly affordable. We had a baby with us and they were so child friendly and welcoming.

The pies at The Home Restaurant are absolutely amazing! The cherry pie, made with tart cherries, was such a delightful surprise. My favourite type of pie and often quite rare to find the sour cherries! The mixed berry pie and lemon meringue are also a favourite.
I’ve had dinner/lunch a few times too. It’s good fairly basic food without issues. The atmosphere is basic but does the job. It’s what you would expect from a diner. Comfortable and clean.
Honestly, the homemade pie is the star of the show though! We’ll keep coming back! 🙂

We had the chance to visit this place during our road trip to Hope. Honestly, Home Restaurant gave us a true home-like experience from the moment we walked in until we left.
First, let me talk about their staff, they are all super friendly, supportive, and, most importantly, always have a smile on their faces. Our table was looked after by a gentleman named SHAWN, and his service was outstanding. He was very down-to-earth and helpful.
We ordered Dynamite Prawns, Fish and Chips, and a few additional items. Everything was well-prepared, crispy, and delicious. The portion sizes were more than enough for one person (If you go for Fish & chips – tell them to reduce the chips portion).
The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and the washrooms are well maintained at all times.
Highly recommended if you’re around Hope!

A BC style diner, it’s not fine dinning it’s just good food, comfortable no pretence. You can still get liver and onions here! Not for everyone but a real treat for some of us. Friendly service and pies that your grandma would approve of. We’ve loved home restaurant from Hope to Merritt to Salmon arm, great place for the hungry traveler or a pit stop for something sweet. ❤️

Classic diner experience. Staff were friendly. The pies are good and the food options are all you’d want from a diner with a few surprises sprinkled in. The menu didn’t have a drink section so it was a little awkward when our server asked what we wanted but didn’t know the options. Food came out quickly and the pie was good.

I ordered the daily special, the Bacon Yorkshire Benedict and it did not disappoint! I opted for the tater tots and enjoyed them as well. We arrived at 10:30am on a Sunday and the place was almost full. Food took almost 40 minutes to arrive but we were not in a hurry so no big deal for us.
