Man this spot is a surprise. Little good ole country restaurant and bakery. Breakfast I was delicious and the bakery goods were phenomenal. If near Hot Springs Village, it is a must stop. I missed Steak night but rest assure I’ll be back. Service was professional and friendly. You won’t be disappointed trust me

The breakfast was amazing! We loved the loaded hash browns – and I chose ham as the meat. The service was amazing and friendly – just as we remembered it!

Went with my mother in law to one of her favorite spots. They always know her, go out of their way to say hello and make her happy. She also really enjoys the food.
Today we had breakfast and it came out quickly. The store was busy but they can handle it. My omelette was fluffy and well done. Hash browns had a nice crunchy crust. She enjoyed her gravy and eggs.
We always run into happy customers when arriving or leaving. Step up to the plate and hit a home run when you visit, your stomach will thank you.
Normally, I have breakfast there, which is good. We met for a late lunch and found the food well prepared. My chicken-fried steak was fork-tender, which made a good impression. That’s my go-to meal, mostly, so I appreciated this meal. The club sandwich my sister had looked tasty, and she gave me a bite. The chicken strips were popular and everyone left full.

Well, where to begin. First the bakery- it ALL looked delicious. I recommend eating lunch and dinner. After 4p. You get a complimentary cobbler with ice cream after your meal, if you have room for it. Lunch was almost perfect, the hamburger was done not medium and the steak burger was done not medium rare. But everything else was 5☆. PORK LOIN super moist and full of flavor, hamburgers were very good in flavor and you could tell hand patties. The loaded mashed potatoes was a meal in itself, and tasted like More!! The home made Mac and Cheese was very good and must have been baked in the oven, it was just like mommas. Onion rings were huge and tasty. The appetizers -well – fried green tomatoes, zucchini and mushrooms with a big bottle of ranch definetly tasted like More. There were four of us and 2 of us needed a box. Very fair price for that pork loin with 2 sides, needed a box after all the appetizers. Will recommend you come here to eat. Very good service from our lovely young lady. 5☆

FULL five stars!! If I’ve ever eaten a better breakfast I can’t remember when. Everything was fresh. I had the chicken fried chicken, it was lightly battered and seasoned perfectly. My wife has the NY strip steak and it was cooked perfectly. The hash brown casserole was amazing. The service was outstanding. You can pay the bill by phone when you are done. Prices are very fair for what you get. This is the best food we had on our Hot Springs trip, by far (we found the place as we were driving out of town). You will not be disappointed.

10 out of 10 for this place. First time we went was super busy but didn’t take long at all to get a seat the servers were super helpful and friendly and didn’t miss a beat when checking up on us. Food was excellent. So far I’ve tried 3 different dishes and it’s all been delicious.

Had the chicken fried chicken, very well cooked breading was well seasoned and the brown gravy was great. Mashed potatoes were also well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also got an apple/peach/cherry/blackberry lemon and strawberry turnovers. The cherry was very good flakey but not falling apart, could use a little more filling but still very good. Staff was great my drink was never empty she he ked on me enough to make sure I didn’t need anything but didn’t hover

Home Plate is hit or miss. Most of the time it is a hit. I have had way overcooked fried chicken a couple of times at lunch. Maybe it’s an item that should just be avoided there. It is so overcooked that the meat is practically gone, just crust and bone! On the other hand, I have had delicious burgers, nice, hot fries, and good country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.
It is very hard to get the waiters attention for anything, be it refills, extra condiments, or a rag for a spill. They simply don’t look back at their customers, almost purposefully directing their eyes away. I generally have to get up and go to the kitchen for whatever I need.
The deserts are fabulous. Every one of them! The bakery is the highlight of Home Plate!
I do wish they had rolls instead of croissants with you meal.
I will still use them for catering occasionally. You just have to learn what to get and what not to get.

While vacationing we decided to try this mom and pop type restaurant. Let me just say that was a great decision on our part.
The decor was clean and cozy.
Customer service was excellent. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They kept our drinks full and the table clean.
The wait was not too long after we ordered.
Prices were reasonable, especially for the portions. The chicken fried chicken was excellent. I liked the fries, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the mac & cheese, but it was still good. The possum pie was slap your mama good. If you are in the area this is most definitely a must try.
