Amazing food. Our server Destiny took great care of us. This is a no frills diner. Google AI was right about getting pie. We ordered the Reese’s Pieces cake and Orea Cookie cheesecake. Strongly recommend the sampler for an appetizer. We got the mozzarella sticks, deep fried pickles, and onion rings. The chicken fried steak was pretty solid. Food portions were good. My only gripe is that they only had a 12 ounce ribeye. Too petite for Texas, in my humble opinion.

I have been here twice and both times were amazing! The most recent was for my birthday lunch. The food is absolutely amazing! I had chicken fried steak the first time and a NY strip the second. Both were so very tasty and seasoned amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful! Food wait time was not long and arrived hot for everyone. The restrooms were clean also. I absolutely love this restaurant and will be revisiting!!! Very highly recommend!

++A place that has non fried food options is a plus for me. I love fried things, but get burned out. They had a good selection of things like this, not just what I had.
+Queso was a good portion for the cost and was a good blend of cheeses.
+Rosemary Pork Chop – Green beans
+Mashed potatoes w gravy (Didn’t remember it saying it came with gravy, but no complaints): This was ridiculously tasty. Only critique was the prok was a little overcooked BUT the taste didn’t suffer. The char on the meat was fabulous
+Coconut pie
+++The price was amazing for what you get. Wow, $15 for that entree is insane.

+It was later in the evening on a random Tuesday so wasn’t busy. Waitress was very attentive, nice, and easy to talk to. +Love the open kitchen style.

+Cool bar top area. They had plenty of space in the restaurant taking advantage of the old building space

Highly recommend!!! If you’re looking for a wonderful meal with family or friends. This is the place with a country feel with a little playfulness. The menu offers a wide variety with a nice touch of authentic class. The Manager Trich is great and even was helpful bring the waffle cone ice cream. Just really sweet staff and Mrs. Red the waitress was wonderful and very friendly knowledgeable about the menu as well.
Pro Tip: The Owners Mother makes the Homemade Pies. There nothing like a little love and care as a Special ingredients. Treat yourself, Friends or Family

Passing through town, and boy am I grateful hubby and I found this delicious place. The environment was inviting. The food was so delicious!! Palestine, TX, you all are so very fortunate to have an eatery like this place. We’ll definitely be back when in town.

Really good out of the way place! The queso ribeye appetizer was awesome. Wife had bacon jam sliders, daughter had strawberry salad and I had a seasonal pork chop special. Everything was well prepared and fairly priced. Service was efficient and polite. Only downside was dessert. The Oreo cake was stale and we sent it back. Everything else was on point.

Please do not allow the negative reviews keep you from trying this hidden Gem! We were served by an awesome man named Nathan and not only was the service top notch the food was exceptional! I haven’t had a steak as flavorful as the Ribeye I experienced today in a long time 10 out of 10! My husband spoke highly if the Lobster and Green beans as well! Can’t wait to return.

I thought the place was grubby. Maybe that’s the look they are going for but I didn’t like it. It felt unclean.
I had the chop steak. It was VERY salty. I couldn’t finish it. It apparently sat under a heat lamp for a long time because the gravy started to coagulate, which explains the long wait.
My son had the sirloin steak. It had way too much garlic and butter. He had to try and scrape it off. His fries were cold but he liked his asparagus.
Our waitress was nice. She kept our drinks full. Don’t know if they had dessert since it was never offered to us.

Ordered the ribeye, sirloin, and fried mushrooms and sides. The food was very good. Steaks were grilled just as ordered. Minor hiccup when the food came out (missing sides), but it was rectified very quickly. The fried mushrooms were very good as well. When we arrived, it wasn’t very busy. It soon did get busy, and our waiter was a bit overwhelmed, I think. He still did a good job, and other staff members helped where they could. This is not a knock on the service, I think that other staff helping out says a lot. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. I definitely would return if I ever go through Palastine again.

We came from out of town visiting family and stopped here our last night for a family dinner. Our server a small girl got overwhelmed and I felt so bad. We got a new server and she went above and beyond for us all. Food was amazing and the drinks were delicious. A small town grille definitely worth it.
