Home Comfort Restaurant is an American style family restaurant located on Route 49 of the Cowanesque Valley in Northcentral Pennsylvania. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinners seven days per week. The restaurant is now open for dinners on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We can also accommodate groups as large as 40 people for private parties and group functions in our Cub Ransom Memorial Banquet Room, named after its founder. Our customer service and atmosphere has earned us the moniker of the Valley’s Second Home.

I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy.
The biscuits were great. Sausage gravy was just ok if it wasn’t too much of a strong taste of fennel I would have finished them. I ordered the sausage gravy on the side. I thought I woukd have gotten hashbrown but I got their “homefries” which tasted old and reheated.
Pancakes were very thinly cook. I enjoyed a fourth of that because we all split up since it’s too much for one person.

We live a few hours away and this place caught our eye on our way through and wanted to stop on the way, love the atmosphere and style, food was amazing too, staff was extremely nice.

We have always had excellent service and fantastic food! The staff is so friendly and never makes you feel rushed. They make sure they have your order correct, which is especially helpful when calling for a carryout order. The beef cheese steak is SO GOOD!!! Seriously, order it! We like ours with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and add on banana peppers and red peppers. The bread is perfect and they really load the cheese steak. Excellent prices. A favorite to order from for sure.

Great little Mom and Pop restaurant with a BIG heart! Baked fish and mashed potatoes and gravy, wonderful salad bar with soup. Everyone we encountered was saying hello and made us feel welcomed! Definitely will return when we come back to town!

What an awful place to eat.
Came in with our family and friends to eat lunch together. Waited over 2 hours for food. They brought everyone elses food out by my 2 year old sons. He waited so patiently those 2 hours to watch everyone else eat in front of him because they were so hungry since we waited so long.
When i asked the waitress if she had an estimated time for our food her response. “Well you saw how busy we were” meanwhile they had plenty of open tables.
At no point did anyone come and tell us we could be waiting longer or anything.
Even after waiting that long, our food came out incorrect anyways.
A complete joke and disgrace this facility is.

We came down first thing in the morning on my wedding day to get some coffee and motivation.
We left with full bellies and big smiles! The wait staff was amazing and the coffee was perfect.
