Brunch. Place is less than half full. Still, it took 5 minutes after being seated for someone to ask if I wanted anything. Coffee came 7 minutes later. Different music is playing out of two different speakers. The room is cute and the prices are reasonable for the style of food. Let’s see how it tastes. I ordered the pork belly hash. Looks fab. A little too salty. Fried egg is perfect. Hash it self is gorgeous but needs tuning. Pork belly is too hard, feels cooked day prior to more of an incomplete chicharone. Full grain mustard and the kraut in the dish are nice. Flavor and texture overall just ok. Nobody has come to see if I need more coffee. My server seems to prefer talking and socializing.
Wish I had gone to a reliable diner. This could be a great place, but they need to focus on details and service in addition to menu and vibe. Locals rave nonetheless.

Never eating here before, I was absolutely blown away with how unique and welcoming the food and atmosphere was. Greeted with smiles and decors that felt like home, and a menu that made me want a larger stomach. Being a brunch foodie I will definitely be returning and hopefully making it a regular spot

My only previous experience with Home Bistro was for a special event. I remember being impressed but hadn’t gone back. I think it’s easy to fall into the usual haunts in Little Italy. After revisiting my husband and I decided we really need to make this one of our regular eateries! We both loved the spin on traditional dishes. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The music was upbeat and “loungy”. Great experience!

We tried Home Bistro for brunch, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, we could tell we were in for something special.
We started with the fried artichokes, a beautifully crispy and flavorful appetizer that set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our main dishes, we tried the breakfast burger, pork belly hash, and a market salad. Each dish showcased incredible attention to detail and freshness. The breakfast burger was rich and savory, perfectly balanced by its toppings. The pork belly hash, with its crispy yet tender pork belly and perfectly cooked potatoes, was indulgent and comforting. The market salad provided a fresh and vibrant counterpoint to the other dishes, highlighting local ingredients and seasonal flavors.
The highlight of the experience wasn’t just the food, though. The service was equally impressive. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, offering excellent recommendations and helping us decide on what to order.
Overall, Home Bistro delivered not only delicious food but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a hearty brunch or a place to enjoy fresh, flavorful dishes, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent food and service. All cocktails on the menu were either completely unique or unique spins on classics. Food was delicious. The smoked pork chop with lentils was one of the top plates I’ve eaten in a year. Friendly service and the prices lined up with the quality.

The food was fantastic. Even my picky partner loved it. We had the Goulash, Rainbow Trout and Mussels Arribiata and asked for a side of bread to enjoy the delicious spicy sweet tomato broth from the mussels. All compliments to the chef. The service needs work; we were the only ones in the restaurant when it opened with a reservation and it took 15 minutes to get 2 drinks when I could hear multiple people talking in the background. I booked the reservation through Resy as a birthday event and requested that the server please say “happy birthday” to my partner, but either they didn’t check or didn’t care, because they didn’t mention it. I couldn’t really pin down what the theme of this place is supposed to be, but the decor was neat. We were sat next to a speaker, which played loud, unfitting music for a dinner service. I would come back for the food, but expect the service to be very slow. The portion sizes are good and you get your money’s worth, but the drinks are very small. Please be aware it’s street parking only, and Little Italy gets very busy on weekends. When you’re done eating, I recommend walking around and visiting the local bakeries.

I had the most amazing trout dinner! They understood what Celiac disease means and were very accommodating. My wife loved the fettuccine with meat sauce. Put this on your list of must visit.

My husband and I happened upon home bistro for the first time last night after an evening stroll in little Italy. We wanted to try a new spot and home bistro did not disappoint. We started off with the aperol spritz slushee and strawberry Negroni which were truly fantastic and well balanced drinks. The garden salad was a beautiful take on a summer salad, and so delicious we left that plate clean. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi and my husband went for the smash burger which were so good. The gnocchi were pillowy and fluffy and the sauce was rustic and well balanced. My husband loved the burger. The staff was also great and accommodating with great recommendations. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance with great views of Murray hill. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

We had a great pre-concert dinner at Home Bistro. The food and service were excellent. This restaurant is hidden gem, and I would encourage everyone to try it. We will be back very soon.

5 stars all the way around! I Googled “brunch near me” and Home Bistro was an option and I’m so glad . The food, drinks and service was amazing . My husband and I enjoyed dining on the back patio. He had the housemade lamb sausage hash (don’t remember the exact name) and I enjoyed the octopus civichie. I can’t wait to go back to try other menu options…that hamburger I saw going to the table next to us looked scrumptious! Video review @mysocialpassport.
