I love this place through & through. I don’t even know where to start. My boyfriend and I came across Home231 when we moved into the city, soon enough we moved right around the block from it and are now regulars. I’ve had both Val and Reily (sorry if that’s not correct spelling) as servers, they are both excellent, knowledgeable and just super friendly. Kerri, the main bartender, makes the best drinks in town, I swear she puts her heart into making those drinks for you. You’ve got to try the espresso martini. We have tried a lot of different places and nothing compares in consistency with both food. beverages and service. Mmm I’m thinking about their brunch as I type this and my mouth is watering! All the food is amazing, I truly cannot recommend enough if you enjoy eating here to try literally everything on the menu. I feel confidently after meeting the owner yesterday that the reason that place is so amazing is due the welcoming environment he has cultivated and that he is in the back cooking putting his heart and soul into every meal he makes. It felt like an honor to get to shake his hand the last time we were there, & what made it so great was how humble he was. I love it 30x more now & I didn’t even know that was possible. Please go and get the brussel sprout ceasar, anything on their brunch menu and honestly everything on the dinner one as well. We get the same servers each time, so you know there isn’t a turnaround for servers, which SPEAKS VOLUMES in the restaurant industry.

The last time we were there Kerri told us the chef/owner had a tomahawk in the kitchen off the menu, not a special. How could we turn it down? You can’t! & I’m glad we didn’t it was the best steak I think I have ever had in a restaurant. It felt so special. My goodness he even paired it with a side of au jus that was just sooo good.

OMG. Brunch 7/7/2024. One of those memorable meals we weren’t expecting to be of this high caliber.
Yes, we will come here again. Smoked salmon & poached eggs. An amazing mixed drink.
Thanks for accommodating my GF diet.

This family owned restaurant is quite a statement. At the first glance no one would guess what treasure it is…All their food is cooked from scratch, right there, on the spot. Delicious dishes, very well presented.

The tomatoe soup was garnished with pesto, giving it a fantastic refreshing flavor. The octopus was tenderly cooked and served on a bed of potatoes and capers. Very original…

This stop was very rewarding and refresing, and for this reason I would like to give credit where credit is due.

We had a really excellent meal here. We stopped in during brunch service on a Sunday and were fortunate to get a seat at the bar. My wife’s drink was excellent, unique and well made. Both of our dishes (the hanger steak and the smoked salmon) were really good, excellent flavors and well prepared. They had a small but well chosen local beer selection. The bartender was very friendly and helpful and very good at her job. Definitely one we would stop back at when we fund ourselves in Harrisburg again.

We had forgotten to book for the brunch on Sunday but the staff managed to find two places at the counter. We ordered eggs and steak with some extra bacon. The food was really excellent, the cooking and seasoning of the meat were awesome. The bartender was very friendly and caring. An overall great experience!

Home 231 is one of the best restaurants in the Harrisburg area. Farm to table, seasonal food with a number of creative menu concoctions. Insanely good seasonal desserts too.

Their Sunday brunch is a great deal, definitely my favorite brunch food in the area.

Always attentive service and a homey yet refined atmosphere.

Nice outdoor seating in the back patio and facing the street in front, too.

Terrific little restaurant near center of Harrisburg. Great farm-to-table cuisine. We started with the bruschetta, then had the Wagu Steak and the Crab cakes. Dessert was Mille Feuille with mixed berries. Nice reasonably priced wine list.
Free parking lot just beyond restaurant.

We had a very, very good dinner at Home 231 this weekend. They had nice outdoor seating in the side parking lot, which is shielded from the dinnertime sun. All the food was amazing, especially the asparagus and fried green tomatoes apps. We will definitely be back.

I absolutely loved my brunch here. Everything was amazing from the drinks and food to the staff and atmosphere I don’t have enough good things to say. I got the cold brew Collins and the banana cream pie drinks and both were delicious and not too strong. For food I got the oreo pancakes, the chocolate torte(?), and not pictured was a hashbrown I got to go. The staff was very personable and she added sparklers to my pancakes for my birthday.
