We’ve been visiting Hilton Head Island for 20 years and now come 2–3 times a year. Wanting to try a new Mexican restaurant, I searched on ChatGPT and this came up as the second recommendation (the first, which we’ve visited many times, hasn’t impressed us lately).
Holy Tequila has officially become our new go-to for Mexican food in HHI! The food — Birria Quesadilla, Holy Fajita Quesadilla with chicken, Chicken Fajitas, and the incredible Fried Ice Cream — was all well-portioned and delicious. The fajitas came out sizzling, the fried ice cream was next-level good, and the frozen house margaritas were fantastic — perfect flavor, alcohol balance, and portion size.
We met all three owners, and they were wonderful to chat with about their experiences, the island, and sports.
Highly recommend for anyone craving great Mexican food in Hilton Head! The energetic music and large TVs for sports made the atmosphere even better. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit!

Got a recommendation to check out this place from a friend and damn I’m glad I did. Scratch made everything! Service was awesome and we loved all the food we tried–and the drinks were next level (Double Barrel. Out of their hand-picked barrel from Herradura? Just awesome) highly recommended spot!

Better than most local Mexican restaurants we go to back home. Really excellent on Saturday & the server was part owner.
Service both nights was spot on & very accommodating to our needs. Bringing extra spicy salsa for chips, extra drinks at the right time, etc.
Will go again when we get to HHI again.

My husband and I went here several times during our trip. The owners are always there and greet you with a smile and are so friendly! The service is top notch and the food is outstanding! Margaritas are wonderful (try the skinny and ask for it ‘spicy’). We enjoyed buy one get one fajitas on Friday’s and $3 tacos on Tuesday (try the quesaburria). The atmosphere is also very cool and charming with a great outdoor space and plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game. This is a must visit restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!

Awesome place for authentic Mexican cuisine. This place has a nice casual and exciting vibe. Molly was our mixologist and she is great. If you tell Molly, what you like she can create a drink personalized just for you.
Everyone made you feel welcome and was very knowledgeable of the cuisine and tequila options. The new owners are doing a wonderful job even though they are Bill’s fan. Yes, I am a diehard Cowboy and we make Holy Tequila one of our must stop every time we come to the island.

of vegetarian options, for once we didn’t feel
like we had to settle for whatever veg options were there on the menu- we could actually choose!
My favorite was their street stlye charred corn, absolutely delicious. I could eat it everyday. Their tofu burritos and buffalo cauliflower tacos were very good. And so many interesting drinks! We are leaving today, if not I’d have certainly gone back for the corn

Very cool Americanized Mexican food. I loved my enchiladas, the sauce was good. The frijoles were amazing. I wish chips and salsa were included. Service was good even with it being very busy. My drink was okay, very sweet. I recommend this place if you want a more laid back Mexican restaurant!

We had such a wonderful experience at Holy Tequila! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and welcoming—perfect for enjoying a great meal with our family. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
