Laid back service , casually checking. Atmosphere was roomy and open with wood floors. We ate the Old School platter and was plenty for two people. Delicious and moist brisket and tender sausage. Sides we has were beans and Mac n Cheese both were great. Reasonably priced Parking lot is a bit torn up so take it slow.

This is my favorite barbecue in all of Tucson! I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t had a bad item yet! The brisket, no matter what cut you get is amazingly tender with great smoke flavor. The tri-tip can be cut with a fork and doesn’t make you think of tri-tip at all, more like prime rib. The smoked turkey is the best I’ve had, the ribs are fall-off-bone, smoked just right and all the sides are perfect compliments to any of the meats. I’ve never had to wait to be seated for more than 5 minutes, and the greeters and wait staff are all friendly and welcoming! I will definitely keep coming here for as long as possible!

All of the food was great. Fairly priced and flavorful. I had the coyote (crosscut) and it was enough to fill me up with a side or two.

There was a bucket on the table for sauces/salt & pepper.

We brought a toddler and they had booster seats and high chairs. The waitress was very thoughtful and asked if our toddler wanted an extra plate.

The place was clean and very open. The music wasn’t too loud either.

I only make it to this restaurant a couple of times per year as I live in Phoenix. The brisket is always perfect. The service is fast. My server today was Brandi S. She was awesome. Sweet, kind and efficient. I’ll see you again, Holy Smokin’ Butts!

Huge dining area. Allows for private eating of some really good BBQ. My wife and I got one of their ‘combo’ meals for about $40. We got stuffed, then had enough leftovers for two more meals at home. Do the math: $40/6 meals = $6.66 per meal. That is half the price of a McDonalds BigMac Meal.

Update: we’ve been back a doz times and it just gets better. We like this BBQ better than any we’ve tried in Tucson, and it’s better than Phil’s BBQ in San Diego ( sorry, not sorry) .
This place is amazing for carnivores like me. Get a pound of delicious perfectly cooked brisket and be in heaven during your meal. So, so good!! Enjoy!

The food was delicious. All the meat was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. Their french fries were good, mac and cheese was a little overcooked noodle wise, potato salad was very delicious, and their coleslaw was okay and needed more seasonings.

I had the worst bbq here. I ordered a plate with smoked beef brisket, Turkey, pork belly, tritip, shredded pork, coleslaw, French fries, and grilled toast. $40 in total with one drink.
The toast was the best thing I had. The meats were cold, dry and faintly smoky. The brisket was the only meat that had a smoke ring. The French fries were brown and tasted like old oil. I asked the waitress about them. Her description of the fries was that they are brown because they are fresh cut potatoes. Also said, that is the way they are, because they cut their own potatoes. It seemed as though she’s said this many times before because it was well rehearsed. I was expecting a lot more flavor and a much more premium product from this restaurant. When I left I watched a cook remove ribs from a hot box, unwrapping the plastic wrap cutting them, putting on a plate, then in the window for the server, usually they kiss the grill before plating. I know for a fact those ribs were either made yesterday or in the morning and I had them 10 hours later. It was bad. I will never return there.

I absolutely love this place! The food is great, the price is reasonable. I would highly recommend supporting this place since it is not a chain restaurant. I have a lunch meeting here every so often an I have never had a bad meal! All of the options of sauces that are placed on the table is always fun!

Good God folks!
Holy Smoking Barbecue Sauce!
This is supposed to be a barbecue place!
Let me repeat:
BARBECUE
Absolutely the worst barbecue sauce I have ever tasted in my life!!!
I’ve been there three times already and it’s completely watered down.
Consistency of water. Thin. Runny.
Very little flavor.
Any cheap barbecue sauce you buy In any grocery store is 10 times better than what they have in this restaurant!

The only reason I gave it three stars is because the service is good, and the beef brisket meat is good.

But the barbecue sauce is the worst ever!
Okay I get it that times are hard, you’re trying to save money and water down your sauce!
But this is really pathetic!

The macaroni and cheese was also watery.
The coleslaw also was lacking flavor but seemed fresh.

I asked for no butter on the toast, but it arrived soaked in butter anyway.
