This is going to be in response to the negative review by Yalandis…. I used to live in Watertown/Ft Drum. Im originally from Georgia, have lived in Houston for a while now.
Holy Smokes had some of the BEST pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, and CORNBREAD you will find anywhere. Hands down.
The pulled pork and mac sandwich was to absolutely die for. Ive tried dozens of bbq places here in Texas, in Kansas City, in Georgia and the Carolinas. These people KNOW what they’re doing.
Im not sure where this person ate at, but it couldn’t have been Holy Smokes. I’ve actually thought about how much I MISS Holy Smokes and Pete’s.
That was incredible food. I lived in Miami last year and all the food/restaurants there are over priced and way overrated. Enjoy the food of upstate NY! That good stuff is HARD to find!

Loved the food here everything was perfect and served fast and piping hot. The ladies at the counter were so nice and they were very understanding that it was my first time there. Will definitely be back again for their ribs and their Mac and cheese. Their cornbread is one of the best I’ve ever had.

The customer service here is terrible. We wanted the Homewrecker meal $50+ meal. She said they were out of ribs and would not substitute anything else and then turned around and walked away. We will make it point not to eat here again.

This was literally the worst food that I have ever eaten in my life. My family and I ate here on a random day. I got the pulled pork, cole slaw and baked beans. I threw almost all of my food away. I didn’t want to waste money so I ate a little bit of it. There was literally no flavor in sight. Terrible terrible… everything tasted like nothing. I wish that I could make this up, but nope worst food ever. And I am from the south where we have really good bbq. The pork taste like it was taken out of the packaging and just thrown on the grill to smoke. Nothing else. The baked beans tasted like they came straight out of the can with a touch of bbq sauce. Disgusting. And the Cole slaw was so disappointing, eeeeyyuuccckkk!!

A cute BBQ place in mid downtown Watertown. Family friendly menu and prices. Owned and operated by a delightful young lady who was quick to address any issue our 3 picky kids had. Good for the family or a quaint date night. Would recommend highly.

My husband chose the restaurant today, and I was not happy about BBQ being the choice. But Holy Smokes delivered with flavorful and juicy meat. I ordered the pulled pork Cubano, and it was an absolute delight. My husband got the brisket philly cheese and also loved it. We also got the poutine, but without the meat (I’m Canadian and really wanted it classic). They didn’t alter the price of the poutine for not having meat, and also wouldn’t put it on the side for is which was dissapointing. They also don’t have changing tables in the bathroom which was inconvenient. We and the only other family when we ordered had newborns, so hopefully they get one soon. The meal came to about $50 total.

Finally a place for BBQ in Watertown. It’s not southern, but it’s VERY tasty.
I had an excellent meal in a clean restaurant. Portions are HUGE. The sandwich is the star. A real monster with balanced flavors and ample meat. This big sammich must weigh 2 lbs.
The sides were not necessary. Next time I’ll just get the sandwich. The mac was northern ny style: extremely soft, no pepper, no crisp baked top/edge. The beans Id swear were canned but have no way to confirm this hunch.
I highly recommend the sandwich. It’s an outstandingly well made cousin to authentic southern Q. I will definitely eat here again.

A unique corner restaurant with a lil feel of the Big Apple(screen on top of the main entrance) food is great. Loved the food. Awesome hostesses. Whom ever the pit master is, my hats off to you… the meat came off the bone!!!!!

We got the home wrecker which was a perfect amount of food for the whole family at a great price. The workers were great for placing the order and pick up. But the food just didn’t match all of this. There was nothing wrong with it, but not right either. I’ve just had better BBQ with better flavor.
