Wish I loved it. Nostalgia just wasn’t enough to make me like it. I had the 3 meat plate. Brisket, ribs, and chicken. Chicken was by far the best thing here today. Ribs came in second, Brisket. Beans were good as well. Potato salad blah.

I went to Holy Smoke in 1995 and it remains thr most memorable dining experience I’ve ever had. Food was fantastic (it was $5 all you care to eat at the time) and the waitress that day was an incredible character, a real classic! Bless her beautiful soul. Passing through, I returned in 2024, but on a day it was closed. Go there on a day it is open. You will be glad you did.

Order the rib plate. Ribs are good, I’d say a 7 out of 10. The potato salad was ok, I’d say a 5 out of 10. The sauce on the side was not good. Something tasted very off with it. All in all, not a bad experience.

Well what can I say……. After years of hesitation and never being in town on the days they are open We finally were in the area and already full from lunch but decided that if they were open We’d stop by and get some to go to TRY Yeah just to try and see Well let me say that if you want some of the Best Tastin, lip Smackin, belly Pleasin, taste bud Dancin BBQ you ever had.
I would definitely recommend “Holy Smoke BBQ” the Brisket was Perfectly marbled and juicy as a Georgia , the Ribs? Well they were the perfect texture and seemed to be handled by “Jesus” himself SERIOUSLY Now a little somethin bout the BBQ chicken, well I myself am extremely picky about my Yard bird and 98% of the time it is not to my liking because it’s to Dry, Too burnt from the Pit or not cooked enough BUT, there is always a BUT, this Bird was Absolutely Amazing……. Plump, juicy, crispy , charred ends where they belong, perfect amount of Char as expected and probably the BEST BBQ chicken I have ever Had in my 45years in existence Will definitely be back and Definitely recommend

Holy Smokes! Had not really had a decent appetite, went in and nearly forgot to post my picture it was so delicious! I highly recommend every thing. I honestly did not try the pulled pork there but I took some to go and it was also delicious! So here is my half eaten plate!

My son is a student at SHSU. We make regular stops at Holy Smoke BBQ on our way home to Sugar Land from Huntsville. We love their sliced brisket sandwiches. We get a pound of ribs and potato salad for good measure. Excellent food that’s not overly seasoned. Tender and juicy BBQ. So good, you don’t need any sauce! Thank you for keeping the legacy of Ms. Ward alive and well. Blessings!
