The food here is very flavorful! I rarely have Mediterranean food, but when I do I come here. I have had the Chicken Curry the last few times, and the chicken has great texture and is bathed in a delicious curry sauce. They also have Shawarma which is very seasoned and bursting with flavored in its own way. Also available are are beef, lamb, and other versions of these and more dishes, some spicy, some seasoned, curries and kabobs and more. Most meals come with their yummy rice and seasoned vegetables. Our waitress kept our drinks full and checked in regularly. Fairly quiet place, not too busy, which makes it a nice place to visit with family.

First time eating here and it’s like really really good compared to other Mediterranean food that I have had around KC. The hummus with the food was some of the best I have ever had. I have also been to the UK, and had Doner Kebab there at a chippy and the Gyro meat here is very similar to that. Definitely recommend this place over places like Mr Gyro.

Went here in April and everything was great. It was different this evening. My wife and I entered the restaurant and asked about seating. A worker in behind the counter pointed at a table in front of the restaurant and said “you can sit there”. It was a poor location with too much foot traffic and too close to the cashier. So I said “Okay if we sit in the back, right?”. The dining area in the back was a quieter, nicer part of the restaurant. The worker behind the counter looked dejected and said “yes”. She was also one of the waitstaff and served us and for the rest of our time there, she barely talked or looked at us and had a sullen attitude. Another of the waitstaff wasn’t paying attention when we ordered our food and I had to repeat parts of it twice. Another waitstaff person brought out my wife’s falafel and hummus and seemed not to understand that it should have come with pita. The food is fantastic but the customer service needs a drastic intervention. We will try elsewhere.

This is one of my favorites. The lunch special is reasonably priced for what is in my opinion a large serving. There are a number of options available, with many revolving around Pita, a Greek Salad, Hummus, Rice, and the meat of your choice. I’ve been several times and have not been disappointed. The staff is very courteous. Lunch hour can be busy, so parking can be limited.

The person that took our order was very helpful and kind. The food was amazing! Everyone working was wearing masks. According to the menu posted outside, prices are $1.45 higher on Saturdays. We got the holy land dill chicken sandwich and the chicken schwarma sandwich, both with fries. Next time I will definitely try the other side options.

Ordered ahead online. As soon as I entered the café I was greeted instantly! I had ordered quite a bit of food because I had a luncheon with a medical office. The ladies helped me carry all the food to my car, I greatly appreciate the help!

I placed a to-go order over the phone, from my place of work as a special treat for our employees. The order came to be over $130 dollars, and the food was very much up to par, but the service we experienced, over the phone, and when I sent one of my employees to pick it up, was frustrating, to put it lightly. When I tried placing my order over the phone, they hung up on me twice, in the middle of me talking, so I just immediately called back, to finish making the order, and was met with excessive rudeness. Now, when I sent an employee of mine to pick up the order, not only did they almost refuse to give her the order, but once they were convinced that it was the right person picking up the order, they refused to give her any plates and silverware, EVEN THOUGH I had specifically requested such items over the phone, and they had no problems with it over the phone. While yes, the food is good, the excessive rudeness and apathy shown to me and my employee by the workers has ruined the restaurant for me.

This place was a lucky find during a long weekend in Kansas City, I had to hit it twice. The food was great and the service was outstanding! Super fast and attentive.

Their food is great. I especially love the quality of their pistachio baklava—one of the best in KC. They have good customer service and a nice variety of food offerings. Definitely recommend going to Holy Land Cafe if you’re looking to get some authentic Middle Eastern food.
