This is a new bbq spot in the Redondo Beach Riviera. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The food was good, but is a little bit pricey for what you get.
There’s parking around back and you can enter from the back as well.

The sides and desserts were solid….so we’ll be back.

Amazing
I ordered the big BBQ sampler, picked the baby back, brisket and the shredded pork with potato salad plus four rolls. They mistakenly gave me house slaw instead. The meat presentation can be better, they definitely did not look like the pictures. Good thing, the food tasted okay.

Very tasteless, very pricey, and tiny portions; it’s some of the worst bbq we’ve ever had. This is the bbq plate #2. How can you charge $23 for slimy, pale chicken and slimy, pale pot roast masquerading as brisket? I hate to say it, but I really have to wonder if all those glowing reviews are bots.

We tried this place today and were very impressed! Nice interior decor, one private covered patio, and a very spacious shared patio next to Good Stuff. The food (I had BBQ chicken, husband had brisket) is excellent, and their sauces are truly delicious. Also– I am a greens fanatic–and theirs are delicious! We also tried the potato salad and the beans– the potato salad is truly one of the best I’ve ever had, and the beans were…okay. They also have cute little pies (did not try), beers on tap and bottled, and a self- serve soda fountain. In addition, the manager and staff are as nice and welcoming as can be!

We had the best lunch and service! The food was amazing. I love coleslaw and am very picky, it was perfect. And of course all the BBQ meat was delicious. And the sauce was on point, not too sweet. The owner was there and was working hard along his employees which is always nice to see. We’ll be back and have to buy some sauce next time.

If you are a BBQ aficionado, then don’t bother. I grew up in a family of Grill Masters & Smokers. We all LOVE BBQ. My Dad (who I was having dinner with) even spent a year traveling through the South, hunting down every BBQ join he could find. Sadly, we were underwhelmed and disappointed here.
The service was very friendly and kind. The prices are not bad. The portions are decent.
What was lacking was flavor, even in their sauces. The Pulled Pork was bland, the Brisket had no crust of spice, and the Tri-Tip was nothing more than sliced meat. The Hot Links had the most flavor, and there was nothing hot nor spicy about those links. The Collard greens had an oddly sweet taste, and one of our Garlic Rolls was dry and hard (bordering on stale). The sauces made the meats slightly more edible, but even those were lacking flavor. The “Q” Sauce was only marginally different from Ketchup, and their Carolina Sauce was lacking the KEY to any Carolina sauce: Vinegar! You have to have a tang.
The four elements of successful cooking are: Salt, Fat, Acid and Heat… My review suggests they need to work on utilizing them.

Absolutely delightful take out experience and we will definitely be coming back for sit down service. We ordered a BBQ sampler at the counter and arrived with two small children in tow. Our children were hungry and we requested to have the rolls before the food came out. The person at the counter kindly accommodated our request, and I was so happy to see my ever-so-picky toddler devour the delectable, buttery rolls! The counter person made the pick up experience so easy and our order was quick, ready and delicious. The ribs are a must, with tons of smoky flavor and a perfect amount of dry rub/sauce flavoring. The tri trip, pulled pork, and brisket were coupled perfectly with the home made quality BBQ sauces provided. After this experience, I will definitely be trying a pulled pork sandwich next time. To the kind gentleman at the counter who greeted our young children with a welcoming attitude after a looong day, thank you for your hospitality, that small gesture really created an inviting experience that will have us coming back to Holy Cow for future take out/BBQ. The food was just as fantastic as the service and we will be coming back!

Brisket and triptip were cooked decent but had no flavor, the ribs were over cooked and very chewy, collard greens tasted sweet for some reason, the best things were the corn that was grilled and seasoned pretty good and the rolls.

Additionally, it was a very small portion for the $70 combo meal that i got.

We had the pulled pork bbq sandwiches. It was perfectly spiced. I grew up in the south and thought this was great bbq. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and casual. I am definitely going back.
