At Holy Burger, our mission is to craft delicious, high-quality, and ethically sourced burgers for every palate—from classic to vegan and gluten-free. We’re all about exceptional ingredients, sustainable practices, and staying true to our New York roots, bringing people together over food that’s fast, flavorful, and made with care.
Our beef provided by Hal&Al Meats is ethically raised on a balanced grass-corn diet for rich, flavorful taste, while our vegan and vegetarian friends can enjoy our plant-based options. Every burger is served on the city’s best hand-rolled buns, tender, juicy, and lightly charred to perfection. We keep the menu small and the quality high with signatures like The Holy Burger and The Holy Chicken,

Ordered the Holy Sampler with the chicken sandwich, burger, hot dog, fries, and onion rings. We were surprised how good it was, every part. Chicken sandwich has a juicy, sauced large chicken breast, great toasty bun burger with LTO, super crispy onion rings and fries have such a good crunch. Def recommend!

The crispy chicken burger, enhanced with onions and pickles, was exceptionally satisfying. The seasoned fries were well-prepared. However, I would have preferred the sweet potato tots to be crispier. The burger sliders, which I rate a 9/10, were outstanding and notably larger than typical sliders. The establishment offers a broad selection of beverages and a diverse menu.

We were so excited when we heard Holy Burger was opening (a halal fast food place with a drive-thru and lots of plant-based options!), and it did not disappoint! The Holy Chicken sandwich with spicy crispy chicken was actually spicy and juicy, and the griddled bun was a nice touch. My husband’s Double Smash Onion Holy Burger was a solid fast food burger. The seasoned fries were crispy and delicious. It was great to see they served soft drinks that weren’t Coke or Pepsi. Everything on their menu looked exciting, especially as someone who keeps halal, and we are eager to come back and try everything on the menu. Service was efficient and friendly, and as other reviewers have noted, they’ve got a good music playlist (old school hip hop and some Afrobeats).
Overall a great experience and a welcome addition to Albany’s growing halal food scene!

Update:
Sadly the focus on vegetarian/vegan food has slipped with 2 of our favorite food items no longer offered. Now we are just left with “chicken” options which are just Beyond chicken. The bacon seems like Morningstar.
The fries have a texture similar to what you get when you reheat them in the microwave. Chewy

Calling all Vegans & Vegetarians; We just found your new fast food restaurant! This location is new and we visited on the day after their grand opening.
We ordered the “Turkey” Sandwich on a hoagie and added vegan bacon. OMG!! Amazing! Great flavor and texture. We’ve tried many vegan cold cut from the grocery store and even the best of them are just passable. This turkey had great flavor and was pleasantly juicy.
The Plant-Based menu is extensive and we plan on sampling each and every item.
Despite still being in set-up mode, the employees were very friendly.
Good luck Holy Burger!

This new spot is something welcome. I especially like that they have plant-based options. We got the vegan chick’n and b’ef and chopped cheez sliders, they were delicious and the loaded fried were so good as well. The vibe is nice with the graffiti and hip hop and r&b old school jams set the tone. The staff were friendly but they are constantly busy so expect to wait. Although, if you order vegan food it won’t take as long. Recommend!!!

My family and i decided to eat here after randomly looking up the restaurant and finding out they have many vegan/plant based options. The food was great and very filling. The owner was very friendly, kind, and helpful. The loaded fries mentioned having jalapenos but we didn’t see any so i asked to make sure I wasn’t mistaken. He said some people are sensitive to spice so they leave it up to the customer to choose them when ordering. He insisted on making another batch of loaded fries for us with the jalapenos which was very kind even though he didn’t have to. Definitely a great meal and the service was fantastic!! Will definitely be back!

Great spot with awesome food. The vegan selections are delicious!!!! The vegan chopped cheese sliders and chikn sliders were sooooo good. The vegan burger sliders were amazing as well. And the vegan loaded fries were GREAT!!!!! The service, staff and atmosphere were 5 star. Very friendly staff. The hip hop and R&B vibes gives it a 90’s feeling with a modern menu. Highly recommended!!!

First time trying this place, I ordered the Holy Sampler (through Door Dash). My food was a little cold when it arrived, so that took away from the experience a little bit. The onion rings were delicious, nice and crunchy, and the fries were also good, the signature sauce paired well with these. I was a bit disappointed in the chicken sandwich, it didn’t have enough flavor for me, and it was just okay. The holy burger wasn’t bad, but nothing special. I wish the restaurant would allow for customizations of the Holy Sampler in door dash, because my burger was a little pink inside and I prefer it cooked through. The hot dog, I didn’t care for at all, I won’t ever order that again, it was very tough. All in all this place wasn’t bad, next time I will get my food in person and eat it fresh, maybe it will be better. I plan on trying the nuggets and a milkshake.

Excellent halal fast food burger! Finally a legit halal alternative to Five Guys (which coincidentally just also opened down the street!). I had the Holy Burger and medium fries. TBH, the burger was good, but not “wow, I’m never eating anywhere else again” – but definitely a great option to the typical fast food burger. The Holy Burger sauce wasn’t that distinct that I can say good or bad things – the burger was tasty. I also added pickles and jalapeños- but only found the jalapeños in my last couple bites. The patty was rich and the blend of meats makes it somewhat unique. Coulda used a little more lettuce, but really, the patty is the star of this show.
But the fries – medium seasoned fries – huge enough for 2 or even 3 people!! They placed the fries first in my bag while still working on the burger, so by the time the order was complete, the fries were a touch cooler than I would have preferred, but still crunchy.
With a Salaam cola (yay no Pepsi/coke!) the total was $24, so much more on par with a Five Guys or Elevation Burger, and definitely good competition for either.
The staff was friendly, and what can I say about the atmosphere – this location was a functional Taco Bell for 10+years until a few months ago (which I did frequent often), and they’re just starting out and have new business problems (like short staffing and training, etc.). The music was low volume, and the color scheme was a little monotone in this red-orange color.
Basically if you’re looking for a certified Zabiha Halal fast food burger that will be a million times better than McD’s (next door) or BK, want a good alternative to Five Guys or Elevation Burger, Holy Burger is for you. I will be coming back, maybe not too often as my cardiologist may yell at me, but definitely in my halal rotation.

First time here, visiting from out of town. Service was very good. Took time to talk to us, explain that it takes a little longer because its all freshly made. Gave us sample fries to try. We ordered 6 tenders for my daughter and I to share. What you see in the box was what we had left! They were very large, great flavor, not dried out at all and the dipping sauces were yummy!
