Found this place on Google while driving from Washington, DC to Miami, and I’m so glad I stopped. This is a fantastic BBQ spot.
I ordered the two-meat platter with chopped brisket and ribs, plus collards and mac & cheese. At the manager’s recommendation, I also added the wings—four dry-rubbed and four BBQ—and that was one of the best decisions of the trip.

The standouts were hands-down the chopped brisket, collards, and wings. The brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, the wings were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the collards were outstanding.

On top of the amazing food, the service was top-tier. Cayden and the manager were welcoming, knowledgeable, and made sure I was taken care of from start to finish—true Southern hospitality at its best.

If you’re passing through, this place is absolutely worth the stop!!

Rip-off. Not worth $40. We threw it away. Service for to-go is lacking. Its a BBQ joint and they dont offer BBQ sauce when you place an order through the drive-thru. He handed us the bag and was already turned away before we could pull the bag inside the car window. There wasn’t a dinner rush, no one was there except for the employees; flat out rude service.

Also, the Mo-Bill sandwich was a joke; its pulled pork not brisket. Dont waste your time on the apple jalapeño slaw, no jalapeños were found in it, no spice, and it made everything in the bag sticky. Pulled pork was flavorless even in its own juices. Lastly, anything fried is in old oil and soggy.

There are better places. Spend $40 elsewhere.

This place right here is permanently pinned for when I travel down south. The ribs were fantastic and the wings were on another level. The wife really enjoyed the ribs. The mac and cheese along with the bbq baked beans were also delicious. But them ribs are the star of the show. If you don’t eat pork the wings are highly recommended. We cannot wait to go back! This was a last minute thought for dinner but we are more than grateful with our decision. 10 out of 10

Please just go somewhere else. I was not impressed but was so hungry. Cashier was scratching her scalp the whole time I ordered, the kitchen looked absolutely filthy on the prep table top, shelves and floor, and the brisket was just a pile of greasy slop. They were keeping foil hotel pans in the food window which I can only assume was holding the food they served. This is not a proper hot holding area. I’m just disgusted I was hungry enough to eat. I really could not taste that it was brisket and it definitely didn’t look like it. See picture. It was also freezing cold. Empty dining room. Don’t go here!

Worst BBQ experience in years! Taco shells were hard (not toasted, hard). Filling was pulled pork brisket, which was soft and flavorful but not enough for the price. The kicker was the fried food! Fries were soaked in oil and flavorless. Fried pickles were soggy and flavorless. Even the greens were flavorless, no seasoning at all. I ate the filling and left everything else with this review. Like and follow if this helped you decide.

Seen this place as we were driving by, so we decided to check it out. They have 4 different sauces, but honestly, I like the original the best. I liked the baked beans with a slight kick, and the fries are homemade, not some store-bought stuff. We had 2 combo plates, so we ordered all different meats so we could try each others stuff. Also got a desert of banana pudding, and it was yummy . You can’t go wrong by stopping by here and trying some of their stuff. I know I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu. Oh, and let’s not forget they also have the old school drinks in the glass bottle, which I really like as they taste so different than the fountain drinks. Also, there was a good amount of food that my husband and I got take-home boxes and will have lunch for tomorrow or a snack tonight, lol.

The only reason it’s not higher is that the floors are so slick that if you’re not careful, you will slip and slide right onto your butt. I hope that you all enjoy the food as much as we did.

I ordered the “The gator” a thinly sliced prime rib sandwich with horseradish sauce a combination I love, and a aju dip, french fries and coleslaw. It was brought to the table and was completely dry I asked the server where the horseradish sauce was, he went back to the kitchen and retuned saying they were completely out, no substitutions or if I wanted something else. I also had to go back to the counter to ask for my coleslaw, the waitress seemed confused so I read it on the menu to her. I didn’t eat the sandwich, only the sides. They turned into very expensive sides. I won’t be back.

We were passing through Florence and I had a taste for some BBQ.   Holt’s was the closest place to us that was open.  We called in our order to which we were told that they were out of ribs AND the fried okra, both of which I wanted, so I was really not expecting much out of the place.

I wound up ordering the brisket platter, the mac & cheese and the sweet potato casserole and let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed!  The brisket was shredded, as I prefer, it was moist and flavorful.  The sweet potato casserole was nice and sweet, good amount of potatoes with a crunchy sugar topping.  Instead of the fried okra, I ordered the mac and cheese to which I’m usually not a fan of restaurant mac & cheese, but no kidding, this was some of the best I’ve ever had.  It was creamy, cheesy and flavorful, really delicious!!  I wish I’d ordered more!

The better half ordered the half chicken platter with mac & cheese & green beans.  He wasn’t a fan of the beans, but he enjoyed the chicken and the mac and cheese and he really liked my sweet potato casserole as well!  The small hushpuppies they give you are like little bonus balls of happiness! Service was awesome and they gave us everything we needed to eat in our car.  We will definitely be back when we come through again!

Love the atmosphere. The food is amazing! The BBQ sauce was extremely runny, like it wouldn’t hold on my sandwich but they had great flavor. Gonna bring my husband back here asap!

Food is great, but buffet missing slaw and green beans! Also, hush puppies were served cold not heated. Process is a little confusing. Pay at counter and given a plate. But have to go back to the counter to get a new plate every time. Also didn’t care for Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. We were charged $1 for water and $8 for my 2 yr old nephew who ate practically nothing.
