One has to love the Google search for places to eat near me function. I used that today and Holmes Sundry popped up and knew I had to try it, I love eating in little towns. The food was excellent as well as the Service.
Enjoyed my conversation with the owners.
They’ve done a really nice job on the building. The interior is very inviting.
You need to stop in and try it if you’re this way and if you’re not, just go out of your way and try it anyway.

Rachel and team revitalized this treasured heart of the community. It’s beautiful inside and has maintained elements of the traditional spot so many of us grew up in while giving it a fresh new look. I had a orange/cranberry scone and it was delicious. I also tasted my Mom’s pancakes and bacon which we also very good! My Late was excellent with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I look forward to another day when I’m back in Hamilton and can stop by to try more of the menu!

Traveling through we stopped for lunch. Homemade chicken lasagna with salad and garlic toast was the special. Beautiful building and friendly service. The menu is quite limited but love that there was a quiet spot for lunch and to dine with the locals.

Kind of a fun stop for nothing more than the nice original equipment and furnishings of the old sundry store itself. The food was fine, nothing to write home about but not expensive either. The folks were nice and attentive. A handmade sandwich of store bought loaf bread, ham slices, cheese slice and some mayo, a handful of chips, a can of pop & 2 cookies (just like grandma would’ve packed for you in school) $8. There was nothing wrong and it was a welcome stop in a long trip.

There aint much in Hamilton, and it may not be on your way to wherever you are going, but Holmes Sundry is worth a stop. I had a latte and a fresh orange cranberry scone. Both were excellent! If I had not already had breakfast, I would have enjoyed breakfast here for sure. The place is very clean, very cozy, and very friendly. They have couches, dining tables, and counter seating. It’s the kind of place where everybody knows everybody and they are glad you are there. Well…they didn’t know me, but seemed glad I was there anyway.

Holmes Sundry is a nice place to visit in Hamilton. They have an old fashioned soda fountain there and the Sundry itself has an old fashion atmosphere.
