The Holmes Bar is a gem in the heart of New Orleans, a city renowned for its vibrant nightlife and unique cocktail culture. During our multiple visits, the bar consistently impressed us with its exceptional service and outstanding drink selection. The bartenders, with their remarkable skills, not only crafted some of the finest cocktails we’ve tasted in the city but also created a welcoming atmosphere that made each visit memorable. The classic Caesar and blackened tuna Nicoise salads were culinary delights that complemented the drinks perfectly. A special mention must be made of Sean, whose kindness and assistance went above and beyond, making our experiences even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, the Holmes Bar is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor the best of New Orleans’ bar scene.

Stopped in for some food before a flight and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The place itself is very nice and I’m sure the hotel is also but we just stopped at the bar. I had a espresso martini, which wasn’t the best one I’ve had but I have had many and it wasn’t the worst either lol. Ordered a burger (and was asked how I wanted it cooked , med rare) with deviled eggs appetizer. My gf ordered some egg rolls and a Flatbread. Everything was very good. The prices are what you would expect for the area. I would definitely eat here again and might even check out the hotel.

I ordered the Biscuits and Tasso Gravy and the Retro Southern Sammy. Both were good, but the sandwich was just a sandwich. If I had to choose between the two I would order the biscuits and gravy. The sandwich uses the same biscuit as the other entree. It’s very soft and moist. I would probably order the biscuits and gravy again and top it with a couple of scrambled eggs.

This restaurant is located inside of the Hyatt Centric French Quarter. I stayed at the Hyatt for a mini staycation during NYE. Decided to try this spot for some drinks + appetizers and everything was great! I had the deviled eggs and the boudin egg rolls. Food was on point so were the drinks. Service was great as well. Will definitely visit again soon!

I absolutely loved this place. Our waiter John was great. He did an amazing job, very friendly and made sure we experienced new Orleans during our visit. The gumbo was sooooo delicious but the steak was even better. It was seasoned to perfection and I cut it with a butter knife..lol The bread pudding made the night even better. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I had dinner here tonight and the food and drinks were delicious. I had a rossted veggie salad with shrimp and my friend had the strip steak. The cornbread appetizer was amazing. Javeon ,our server, was personable and attentive. I will visit again when I’m back in the area.

This is a relative new cocktail bar. The decor is modern and clean. It’s night and day compared to the grungier bars on Bourbon St. This bar has excellent cocktails at $13 each. Many of the liquors are infused with their own distinctive flavors. Happy hour M-Thur 4-7 only has 1 cocktail on the menu though.
