The food was ok at best. The fries were a bit undercooked, the chicken hardly had any breading and the bun was really in a bad shape. The ambience was also subpar, it really needs some work to be borderline pleasant. The AC wasn’t working so it was getting really hot. The only good thing I can say is the staff was a nice guy and said the food is halal. Sorry for being so critical.

A real neighborhood café experience with innovative, filling food that doesn’t break the bank. The fries are deliciously seasoned, and the lime slaw is so refreshing. Chicken is moist and crunchy and lots of sauces to choose from. Not suitable for large groups because seating is limited, but perfect for satisfying the craving for something different and delicious. A must visit, few blocks down from the Petworth metro.

I got the $36.99 Dinner Bucket deal and they gave me all dark meat as I requested. Their prices have increased a bit from the menu on this Google menu. Their website connects to Uber Eats for online delivery or pickup ordering. The chicken is fantastic…crispy with just the right amount of salt. I debated and ultimately did take a star away because the sides aren’t that great despite the fact that the fried chicken is why I came here and what really matters. But here’s the breakdown of the masked potatoes and gravy, biscuits, and coleslaw. They beef flavoring in the gravy was a bit too overpowering. The biscuits were flavorful yet rather tough. The coleslaw just didn’t taste very good and there was too much dressing. I’ll definitely go back, but only for the chicken.

I ordered their 12 pieces with fries for delivery. The chicken is very crispy and salty, not very greasy. The fries were bland and just ok.
The one thing I was a disappointed about was that I expected to get various chicken parts like thighs amd breasts. This is what most places mean by “pieces.” Here, their boxes are just tny pieces of wing. Which they should clarify as “wings” not “pieces.”

Fried chicken is fantastic for the price. Are you getting life changing fried chicken, no. Are you getting something filling and delicious yes. It is a classic jc dive, you get food, you eat or leave.
I wish they had chicken that was spicy but for the price I don’t care. Order chicken, be happy and enjoy. Fries are cheap on combo not worth ordering seperate.

The one and only downtown chicken spot of Jersey. The food is good and the people are very nice. I have eaten here more than 100 time and have never had a bad meal. They give me just what I want and they never get the order wrong. I have paid three time the price in other places in the area and they do not come close. They drop the chicken in the fryer ever 20 minutes in small batches to keep it fresh. Gyro, burgers, fries, chicken, and hello salad lovers they have that also. You can ask for any combo of food. They have 2 litter sodas and uber eats delivery. I support family owed business if I can above all and this is one. The sweet potato pie, fried apple pie, and banana pudding should not missed because they are small , cheap and tasty.
