Reviews
Food: It was mediocre to bad the night we were here for Hollywood Horror Nights. I was excited that there was a Fallout Theme to this food and I left very disappointed in the food. Item 1: Iguana on a Stick (Cheese incased corn dog) was so bad it we returned it. Undercooked, no crispy outside, and not appealing to look at. Item 2: Rad Roach legs and fries (chicken wings) – Better cook but rubbery skin and the sauce was okay at best. Item 3 – Cram Fries (Spam Fries) – underwhelming and spam pieces were not fried with a crispy skin. The sauce was off putting. Item 4 – Rad Away drink- Tasty drink and a great souvenir with the Rad-away pack. Item 5- Nuclear Punch – alcoholic drink was pretty decent.
Service- Good service from Universal Staff.
Ambiance- The Fallout theme on the Hollywood and Dime restaurant was excellent and well done for a quick overlay. I liked the different artwork and the outside theme.
If this is what grinch eats, no wonder he likes stealing!
The staff is awesome!! No changes there!
Okay, let’s talk food… Noodles, dumplings, dessert…
I tried the Mango Tiger Boba. If they use something other than Minute Maid lemonade I think this drink would be a winner, it’s prettier in the picture unless it’s done right, but for the price, well, I say go to CityWalk’s Mini Monster. Better quality and better price.
The shumai were small but tasty. No one in my party tried the noodles yet but they look good.
TIP: The best deal in the park is here.. The Cinnamon Tiger Tail Donut! This donut is almost 2 feet long covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with chocolate sauce. At $6.99 it is worth it!
See all my pics and you decide!
The chicken was mushy, the veggies weren’t tasty, the kimchi was okay and the bowls was more than half rice. There needed to be sauce. Very disappointing and pricey. What was served looked nothing like the photo on the menu.
I posted a before and after photo. You can see all the rice.
The fries were good and I would get again. I’m giving 2 stars for the fries.
No AP discount.
My daughters and I were so hungry and wanted to try this place! I understand theme park food is expensive and not good but sometimes is not that bad specially if you are hungry! Everything we had was nasty! The ramen tasted like oil and no flavor maruchan noodle soup! Food is warm! Just stay away from this place! The funnel cake looks good but I didn’t want to risk it! My daughter said the Teriyaki chicken wasn’t that bad (I thought it was flavorless!)
