It was my first time visiting this place and I was immediately impressed by the friendly staff and delicious food—I already can’t wait to come back! The portions were filling, the dishes were freshly made without a long wait, and the servers were all so kind and lovely. The cozy atmosphere and warm décor made the food taste even better. Stopped by on a late morning weekday before the drive home from a conference down the street. Free parking out front, with beach access across the street. Great causal place with plenty of seating, including a fenced outdoor patio. There is no view from the patio. I sat in the patio and it felt breezy and cozy. I had tasty coffee with milk and ordered the California, with 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, pancakes, country potatoes, and wheat toast. Everything was delicious, especially the pancakes and breakfast potatoes. Potatoes were well flavored without being too salty (I don’t like a lot of salt). Great, friendly service. Would eat here again if I am in town.

Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch. Was skeptical about the Chilequiles, but I have to say, they were really good for not being a Mexican place. Could’ve done without the baked beans (rather have pinto), but the sauce was great, flavor was great and you got your money’s worth. We ate at the Hollywood Beach Cafe close to closing, but this restaurant didn’t disappoint. It is a great place for brunch, breakfast and lunch. Their food is very delicious and the service is great. The food is high quality and reasonable priced. Hollywood Beach cafe is a great place for a family meal and has that small town cafe atmosphere.

What a bummer. I always liked to go to this place. I absolutely love the service and the portions are good. Problem is Only on this last visit everything was below average. My friends had grilled cheese and not only was the sandwich Tiny, but it was so dry, when they gave me a taste, I couldn’t swallow it. I had a turkey Reuben and the sliced cheap tasting turkey was nothing near fresh or tasty. It just looked like it was slapped together. I couldn’t even taste any sauerkraut. It didn’t come with any Thousand dressing to moisten it until I asked for it and it’s still only rated a two on taste. The onion rings however were terrific, all 3 of them, however this is not the place I remember going to for years. I will return and give it another shot, but I will definitely order something different or I’ll just limit myself to breakfast. So disappointed.

So glad we passed up breakfast at our hotel. This was so much better. The service was great. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The food was served hot and freshly prepared. Everyone was happy with their meal. Makes me hungry posting this.

I was told by locals Hollywood Beach Cafe was one of the best places to have breakfast. They were right. The best service and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced and large portions. I ordered the Hangover breakfast with sourdough bread, eggs over easy and coffee. The meal was huge and spicy, which I really enjoyed. The coffee was good and better than average. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant. It is an hidden gem in Oxnard California. I will definitely return to try something else for breakfast or lunch.
