My wife and I each ordered our favorite meal for dinner…Holly J’s Catfish… beautifully prepared Crispy in outside tender flaky on inside…:Very FRESH! the employee actually called to let me know they had catfish after being told a few mins before they sold out…We got lucky . Spouse and I ordered to-go wings and then some fries to share but the portion was pitiful! Lol we have done this while eating in and never received such a small portion. Lesson learned!! The food was good tho! And if given the chance, try their loaded tots. So good!

The servers here are top notch and I would not have it any other way. I have never had a bad or subpar server. The food is decent with reasonable prices. Wings are the way to go. If it’s busy, expect food to be cold but I come for the experience. A pitcher of beer is the best bang for the buck for drafts. The atmosphere as far as people, service, activities, and layout is great! However, the AC has been down for a month or so. I believe I’ll take a break until late fall or so and come back in the cooler months.

We have been here twice so far. The upstairs gets busy, we sat up there for a few minutes without anyone serving or greeting us. They did have a DJ that night. There are pool tables and a bar upstairs, so if you are looking for a more family friendly atmosphere, sit downstairs, at least you’ll get service downthere. We had Ashley the first night and Sky the second time and they were both amazing! The food has been consistently good as well. Signed up for their reward program because we are planning on coming back. Give them a try!

Really good smash burgers!! The best I’ve had. Nice atmosphere. Good service. The side of fries was hardly any fries at all. And they were cold. They definitely need to up the the amount of fries and tots they are giving.

Ashley was great! She was friendly, informative, and patient with us. The Timmer Cheese burger was excellent and so were the wings, which were both tasty and a nice size. We had the tots appetizer and they were hit and quite tasty also!

My family wanted to try this today, since we live here in Central City. While the atmosphere and modern, city like decor is nice, we waited for our food for over an hour. I work in food service, so I try to be more patient and understanding than most, however it was an extreme wait time considering we arrived at 11:20 and didn’t receive our food til 12:25. The server Alexis was sweet and kept assuring us it wouldn’t be much longer. I know a server can only do so much, til the cook gets the food done. She kept drinks coming. Once the food arrived, it all tasted great!!! The food was hot and cooked as ordered, with the exception of my husband’s fries, which he said were cold. I feel as if they could work out the kinks with wait time, this place has really good potential to do well in our area.

I am not from the area but have worked in the area for almost 5 years. I’m not surprising anyone to say it is difficult to find a place just to hang out in this area. Also, to be frank, not many good restaurants at all.
Holly J’s was a welcome find for me. Every time I’ve been there I have been very pleased with the food (5 stars). I’ve had sandwiches , apps, and wings and all have been outstanding.
Service has been a tick slow at times but looking around it seems to be a staffing issue with only a limited amount of people working. I do not know the number of kitchen staff but judging by the wait times occasionally, likely that staff is limited also.
The staff that is working have always been friendly and very pleasant and seem to enjoy their job.
Overall, I give Holly J’s an outstanding review and the locals need to patronize. I have not seen a large crowd at Holly J’s ever. Come and love the food and you will be back. The more business they get, the more staff they can hire and the more people they can please.

It is nice to see you answer most reviews but the promises you make for better service have to be kept. If you improve your service, you will attract a lot more people.
