This was a random restaurant we stopped by after snowboarding and we were extremely happy! chicken biscuit (5/5)!! BF said it was the best he’s ever had! State champ burrito (steak and chorizo- we added grilled peppers & onions) (4/5) BLT (4.2). You walk up to the counter to order and seat yourself. The pricing and portion size were great!

If you’re looking for a place to have a quick bite this works great. It’s the order at the counter and find your table type place. Clean bathrooms and very large food portions. On the downside the bacon was rubbery with an odd taste and the restaurant was very loud. Also the guy at the counter was wearing an upside down cross which I found to be off putting. Other than that it was an ok experience.

This is probably the best place to eat in the Boone area. It’s been recommend to me multiple times and today I got the chance to stop in for lunch. I was promptly greeted at the counter andI ordered the fried bologna sandwich and fries. The sandwich was fresh with the perfect amount of lettuce, fresh cut tomato and melted cheese. I ordered crinkle fries and asked for them crispy, they were hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. I really couldn’t ask for a better meal. It was everything I wanted when I read it in the menu. Crushed ice in the machine and Cheerwine available as well. A lot of really good menu options. I’ll be back every time I can when in town.

Stopped in for a quick Saturday afternoon lunch. As you walk in, you’ll find a chalkboard with menus for you to look over. When you’re ready, you’ll find place your order at the counter, where they give you a number to take to your table. The young woman taking orders was very knowledgeable of the menu, and was able to answer several questions from our group of 4. Drinks as self-serve, with a selection of Pepsi products, tea, water, and coffee.

After placing our orders, we found a booth in the back, and in less than 10 minutes, our four entrees were delivered hot and fresh to the table. One thing we noticed, as three of us had ordered dishes with chicken as the main protein, was just how tender and juicy the chicken was, even the tenders. The bowls we ordered (sweet potato fried rice with grilled chicken and crunchy sesame slaw with hot ginger chicken) were amazing balancing acts of flavor and texture. The BLT was simple but fresh, the perfect summer treat!

Overall, a casual and laid-back atmosphere with excellent and imaginative dishes. If anything, you’ll have trouble deciding which direction to go!

Excellent breakfast spot on the way to the ski resorts. Order at the side then wait at a tavle for your food. There’s a steady stream of people ordering. Took about a minute waiting for us to order. We tried the State Champs 25 burrito with streak and chorizo, which was a decent portion if youre hungry, a the breakfast combo with a smaller steak burrito. The buscuits and gravy were fine but nothing special. Will be back.

Ate here for the first time today and it was really good. I appreciate that they are aware of folks who have a gluten allergy and offer items like GF buns. We got 3 different entrees, and they were all delicious. Service was friendly and quick, place was very clean and we loved the decor. Definitely worth a trip out to Foscoe if you are in the Boone area. Can’t wait to go back and try their breakfast menu!

My favorite neighborhood spot for a cuppa, breakfast or lunch. Friendly, down home staff and great food serving many dietary restrictions (gf, df, vegetarian). The root beer is on-tap and an absolute must-get if you’re a root beer fan. The root beer floats are killer. Gluten-free fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and pocket bacon (aka trail bacon) are our favorite items, along with the tamales.

Holloway Corner Kitchen is a must-visit when you’re in the high country. As a local, I make a point to stop in anytime I drive thru Foscoe. Their Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit is the best around, and you can even get them from the warmer as a grab-and-go; I’ve never had one that isn’t up to par. The Ramble Burger might be my favorite in the area, and crinkle cut fries make it feel like it was made with love by my momma. Never skip Takeout pizza night on Saturdays, the special is always original and incredible; I had the Al Pastor pizza tonight and was so blown away I had to write a review. I love this place and you are absolutely missing out if you make the choice to not stop in.

We discovered this spot while departing from our stay in Seven Devils, NC. So, we decided to turn back and explore it. Their biscuits are crafted to perfection, accompanied by their delicious gravy.

We stopped in for lunch, and the staff were very helpful in explaining a few menu items. We ordered the Sweet Potato Fried Rice bowl with chicken, a Chicken Torta, and Chicken Soup. The food was freshly prepared and arrived quickly. We wanted to try something different from the usual offerings, which is why we chose these dishes.

The chicken soup was fantastic. The whole chicken leg in it was a bit unusual, as you had to pull it off the bone, but it was incredibly tender and came off effortlessly. The fried rice bowl wasn’t my favorite, not that it was bad, just not my personal preference, though my wife really enjoyed it. The sandwich felt a bit light on chicken and heavy on the other ingredients; I would have liked a little more chicken.

I’m looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu, which looked very appealing. I also want to mention that they offer a free community dinner on Mondays for those in need, which alone makes supporting this local establishment worthwhile.
