Holiday Diner IS not only my favorite diner, but my favorite eatery! The food is unique, original, and incredibly fresh!! George is always there at the front for the best greeting (and we’re all his favorite customer). The waitstaff (especially Pina) make you feel like you’re at home there. And I hear… there’s occasionally a celebrity sighting 😉

My phone battery needed juice, that’s the main reason I walked into this place. I only wanted a coffee but changed my mind because everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Staff didn’t have a problem letting me stay past closing time while they were cleaning up and I was waiting for my train.
Very good eggs and bacon.
The pancake was just right, seducing me to soak it in syrup all the way!
All the coffee I desired.
This was really nice. Thank you!

We were in search of a CT diner experience worthy of their reviews. In my opinion, Holiday Diner fits the bill. Going off the customer reviews, we ordered both the hash and pancakes. These two were nothing short of delicious. Lighest, best pancakes I have had in years while still very filling. I ended up taking home half the order and even heated up 2 days later, they still held top billing. The hash, OMG, was spectacular. Nothing like the soggy canned stuff most places serve up. Tender corned beef and fresh potatoes. Nothing added, just hash as it was meant to be served. I’ve only had has that good one other place, which was on the west coast on now closed.

Definitely worth the detour if your driving by. And kudos to a great staff to. Friendly, timely and they get the order right. 5 stars

The first time I came to this diner was about 12 years ago and I had a very bad experience. It was snowing today and I wanted to go someplace local so I figured I would try this place again since the reviews were so good and I’m glad that I did. I had the Irish Benedict with french fries instead of home fries. The corned beef is made in-house and it is the best corned beef hash I think I’ve ever had. You can actually taste the flavor of the meat. It wasn’t overwhelmingly salty. It wasn’t full of potatoes and filler. It was tender. They could have toasted the English muffin a little less but other than that it was phenomenal and their french fries are so good. My boyfriend had the quesadilla and I’m surprised he didn’t eat the plate. The coffee is absolutely delicious. I don’t know what they’re using but it’s well worth it and the service was phenomenal. Everyone was very attentive. The waitress was very nice. The only complaint that I have is that it is a little bit pricey but everything is pricey nowadays so I guess you can’t avoid that. Really nice central location right across from the Danbury train station and museum. I’m sure we will be back!

Stop by and eat absolutely delicious food! We were on our way to Maine and stuck in traffic most of the way there. We decided to stop off at this place and we were not disappointed! Absolutely deserves a 5 star review!

This diner was excellent from start to finish. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with real care — you can taste the quality in every bite. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and so quick without feeling rushed.

The entire place is spotless and beautifully maintained, which made the whole experience feel even better. It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right, but this diner truly does.

Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back! ️✨

I’ve been coming to Holiday for a little over a year and I wouldn’t recommend another diner. They have the best pancakes, milkshakes, sandwiches, and fresh OJ. The staff are all kindhearted and friendly! The owner was here on Sunday which shows how much the place is cared for. They are constantly evolving and setting higher standards. Thank you Holiday Diner!

I had the toast this morning with Avocado, tomatoes, and feta on sourdough it was spectacular. My coffee was really hot and my eggs were perfect. It’s calm ,quiet & clean. The patrons are all very pleasant and looks like many people frequent. The hospitality was perfect for me. I enjoyed seeing the owner and her son speaking their native language. It’s nice to see specially since my first language is Portuguese. wish I took pictures of my food. It looked sensational.
