An old fashioned diner with simple dishes at a fair price. Can’t say anything bad about the place. Waitresses were very friendly, answered questions with ease and checked back enough to make sure we had everything.
Seemed like lots of regulars and the staff was excited to see everyone and made them feel like family.
Food was good, homestyle and was prepared exactly as requested.
Coffee comes in a pitcher for the table so you never have to wait. A nice addition to the Northwoods town.

This place is a Delicious GEM! The fries here are perfect, their fish fry is exquisite, and great burgers, and yummy greasy cheese curds. No complaints! We had a two hour wait, waiting for seating and to get our food.. Partly because we came on Friday Fish fry night. But previous times they were always accommodating and food delicious, even if it takes awhile.
Great price for delicious food that’s comparatively better than other places in Minocqua. ♡
4pts for Atmosphere just because it’s quite loud when it’s packed. And there are few places that feel a little dirty- but they definitely put in the effort.
4pts for service- our waitress and staff were incredibly helpful and did all they could! Just was a slow night, per usual during the summer rush.

One of the best quality meals for the cost in Minocqua. Open for fish fries on Friday. Get a reservation, and ask for Kiristy. She is the best waitress!

Beat Fish Fry! We consider ourselves Fish Fry experts and this is the REAL DEAL! I had broiled cod with potato pancakes…perfectly done and the homemade potato pancakes are like the real Jewish latkes. Hubby had all you can eat fried cod…also delicious with a huge baked potato. Service was spot on. Very reasonable pricing and was super decorated for the holidays. Get a booth, it’s really special. Just a gem of a place!!

This was exactly what we wanted for lunch—a great local find. The staff was amazing, and the food was good. While traveling, we lucked out finding this local restaurant. My sister and I had the world’s best BLT there. Local restaurants are the best! If we lied in the area, this would be a frequently visited place. There were two waitresses who were slammed, but worked extremely hard and were very friendly.

First time at Holiday Cafe but will definitely not be the last time. Many different choices (both kids and adults) with variety depending on what you are looking for. The portion sizes will be ensure you leave full and maybe even bring some home too. 10/10 recommend this spot!

Stopped in for what I thought was going to be a quick lunch while passing through Woodruff on a bicycle tour. Waited about 15 min for a table which was reasonable. Ordered coffee and one blueberry pancake which took 50 minutes before it was served. I realize they were busy and it was a holiday weekend, but that amount of time seemed excessive. At no point did the waitress update me on my order and there was no “sorry about the delay” when I finally got it. I have no complaints about the food, but the service definitely needs improvement.

Was ignore after being seated, until a CHILD had to take our drink order. We decided to leave after that, The hostess just shrugged and said. “That’s fine, I have other guests to seat.” We will never set foot in this restaurant again.

I just wanted to be honest — this was a really disappointing experience. I ordered a cheese omelette and the first time, the eggs weren’t even cooked. The second time they came back, it was literally just a pile of cheese. On top of that, the pancakes tasted like onions — no clue how that even happens. I paid 60$ for the food and I expected way better. Definitely won’t be back.
