This is a great spot in Lexington for delicious Cuban food! Everything was good and the service was friendly. I would especially recommend the criollo bean dip, which comes with crispy plantains for dipping.

Great atmosphere with lively Latin music playing in the background. The vibes are fun and welcoming, the service is excellent, and the staff is super friendly. The food is delicious, and portions are generous for a very reasonable price.

We had lunch today for the first time at Hola Havana. We have wanted to go for awhile now and absolutely enjoyed our experience. The waitress was very friendly and super prompt. She encouraged us to scan the QR code on the menu to see pictures of the food, and we did not do it. We ordered off the menu descriptions and then scanned the QR code while waiting on our food. We ordered some fantastic appetizers and entrees, and actually ordered some more dishes after seeing the pictures, so I highly recommend looking at the photos. . Our order included Yucca Bites, Stuffed Tostones with Chicken Ropa Vieja, Cuban Guacamole and the Tropical Salad with Shrimp and Tostones on the side. The choices can be very healthy and it so nice to have so many options that make you feel good .. Wow! The food was fresh, bright, clean, full of intense flavors and very satisfying. All the different versions of the plantains were excellent and delicious. I cannot speak highly enough about the freshly-made aspect of our lunch. I feel like everything was made from scratch and was not frozen and tossed into a fryer. I almost forgot to mention that we had two maragaritas. I had the Pepino Margarita (cucumbers) and my wife ordered the Flaca’s Margarita without the triple sec. The bartender happily obliged our changes and the cocktails were balanced, smooth and zesty. I am writing this review late Sunday evening because my wife and I have made several comments to each other about what a nice experience Hola Havana provided us today. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all Lexingtonians. The decor is comfortable, clean and energetic and we learned a bit about Cuban culture because of the decor. We loved our experience and will be back soon. Thank you!!!

We can’t say enough. We stopped in for a late lunch today and I had a spicy margarita and we ordered the Cuban nachos plantains with guacamole and beef ropa vieja appetizer. It was delicious and actually filled us both up so we moved on to dessert. I had the Cuban flan and my husband had the chocolate filled churros which came out hot and delicious! We’re planning our next visit….

I ordered a pick-up order of the Cuban Sandwiches with sides of Jaba’o Rice. I was shocked that there was an up charge for added mustard (.25),.50 for added pickles (dill) and .75 for added Swiss Cheese. We didn’t add any upgrades. Neither I nor my date could taste any Swiss Cheese. The Cuban bread was perfect. More pork than ham, but no swiss cheese taste. When I lived in Miami, Cuban restaurants offered sweet or dill pickles. I would have prefered sweet pickles. I was also alarmed that there was a .45 charge for take-out packaging. The Jaba’o rice was very good but bland as you would expect. I would suggest it be served with Pepperoncini Peppers.
In summary. The bread was perfect. The Pork, Ham and Swiss Cheese was not in balance. It needed a little more mustard. Not enough Swiss cheese and pickles. I know Cuban sandwiches can be served with either sweet or dill pickles. I prefer sweet. No option.
If they want to break the blandness of the Jaba’o rice, they will add a few pepperoncini peppers on the side.
I will order again, I’ll add more swiss cheese (at home) a little more dark mustard, and replace the dill pickles with sweet pickles. I will serve the Jaba’o rice with 2 pepperoncini peppers.

The atmosphere, prices, and service was great. But whatever you do, do not order the Tacubano unless you really like pickles and ham

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food seems to all be amazing, the staff are helpful, friendly, and attentive and the whole place is just cute and fun as can be. We all got different thongs and sampled about 6 dishes all together and everything was so good. If you haven’t been, go. We will definitely be back and will be bringing friends to share this gem of a restaurant with!

Absolutely awesome. I lived in Tampa for a while and always enjoyed the authentic Cuban food. I’d say this is just as good if not better. Waitress was wonderful and so was the food.
